Here are 2 pictures that I've taken during the last year, can anyone guess what they have in common?

They both were taken from the "end of the earth", just different ends. The top one is at the North Cape in Norway (Northern most point of Europe) and the bottom one is in Ushuaia, Chile (which is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world).

I have an artsier shot coming up later, but this final moment before leaving was stunning. The sands truly are white, which made for a brilliant mixture of the blue shadows after sunset and the pink sunlight bouncing off the clouds.

What a stunning place to visit. Lots more coming from our far too brief voyages through Bryce, Arches, Tucson and White Sands.
