Favorite OSU Football moment? (Merged)

I would love to see that hit on Corby Jones again, if anybody has that video clip PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post it. I will never forget that play as long as I live.
i wish i could help you, but i don't have it. a good idea could be some sort of tape/dvd trading thread for buckeye games. there are a tone of games i wish i had but no longer have good vhs copies of.

as for my favorite buckeye play, it really wasn't a play but a series of plays that led up to a moment. pictures are worth a thousand words so i will just leave it at that...

i was in 9a that game. still my favorite section of the stadium to sit in bar none. this shot was basically right in front of me when taken.

Rhetorical question for everyone who votes for 'Holy Buckeye.' While it would've been a memorable play no matter what, given the situation, would it have been as memorable if Musberger hadn't made that call?

"4th-and-1, they go for the ballgame! Touchdown! Touchdown! Michael Jenkins! Holy Buckeye!!!"

For everyone who has ever complained about Musberger and Danielson, it could've been worse ... Jackson and Fouts? Nessler followed up by a Greise head-scratcher?

My favorite Buckeye play so far in my life was the pick in the end zone by Will Allen to end Michigans hopes in 2002. I don't know why I liked that so much...I thought he was going to score and going from sad to happy that fast was incredible.

A great play that hasn't been mentioned is the fourth quarter 45-yard fumble return by Finkes after Katzenmoyer stripped Indiana's quarterback in the Bill Mallory's last home game as the Hoosiers' HC. When Finkes hit the endzone, it looked like crazy Buckeye fans were ready to rush the field. That play propelled the Buckeyes to the 1997 Rose Bowl berth and more great and memorable plays! What an awesome defensive line! **Vrabel Garnett Fickell & Finkes**

excellent call. i was at that game where we clinched the rose bowl. got on the field and assisted with tearing down the one goalpost.

My absolute favorite Buckeye play...and call me malicious...

But does anyone else remember when Kurt Kittner from Illi was scrambling inside the ten yard line to try and score on the Bucks when Mike Doss came up from his SS spot and absolutely bounced Kittner's head off the concrete turf in Champagne? If there would have been serious reprecussions, I wouldn't allow myself to love the hit so much; BUT...considering the fact that there weren't, I can't get over the beauty of Doss laying absolute waste to Kittner and blasting him against the cement as he did.

That hit probably helped Mike get most feared hitter in CFB by ESPN the following year.

It would have to be "Holy Buckeye" for me. I was in Knoxville that weekend visiting my brother and we were going to the UT-Miami game later that afternoon. Anyways, we watched the game at BW3's on the strip. The game itself was nervewracking enough, but of course (as with every game that weekend) it comes down to 4th & 1 and I just remember bracing myself for disappointment like I experienced so many times before. When Krenzel stepped up in the pocket and threw that ball on the run, I thought "Oh my God, WTF is he doing?" Then the ball comes into Jenkins arms right in stride. I just jumped up and down like a maniac and then when it set what had happened, I was practically in tears.

As a side note, there were a lot of OSU fans that made the trip down to Knoxville. I'm talking lots of people wearing OSU gear on the strip... even a small group doing the OH - IO cheer on the walk to Neyland Stadium. Amazingly, most Vol fans were cheering for OSU to beat Purdue as well (you'd be suprised... I also watched the OSU @ NCSU game down there this year and Vol fans were cheering for OSU). We went out later that night and talked to some Miami fans who said whoever they played in the Fiesta Bowl, they would basically destroy (ha ha ha)

When I first truly bleed scarlet and gray, was the Will Allen pick to seal the game agianst scUM in 2002. The game was close enough and i thought they were goign to score to take the lead. I saw the season flash before my eyes, and then Allen comes up Huge! Awsome.

Second would have to be after the second night Phish show at Hampton after Phish came back from Hiatus. It was also the same night as the 2002 championship game. My cousin was at the Hooters down the road from the concert. I called at the end of the show and he said it was about to be overtime. I sprinted back to the bar, and got back in time to see most of the overitime. Went from great sorrow to extreme joy in such a small time. The bar was packed mostly with OSU Phishheads. It was awsome. Some UM fans, but most of them lost bets to my cousin on the game so that was even better. Now my 2 passions in life our OSU football and Phish.
