Favorite Non-OSU Games of All Time

How about the Michigan - Texas Rose Bowl? That one was pretty good. I know a lot of or maybe even all of my games include Michigan losing, as does this one. But in this case, it was just a good game.

Hm - how about the RRod-led Michigan team that came back to tie Michigan State, only to lose in overtime? Was that Tate's freshman year, or was he backing up an injured Denard in their sophomore year?

I enjoyed watching Iowa throw the bomb to beat LSU in some bowl game. I believe that was the 2004 season (probably January 2005).

Sparty's epic collapse in the rain at night against Notre Dame in 2006 sticks out to me, probably because of how predictable Sparty choking away a three possession lead and certain victory in the 4th quarter was, while also being absurd since the lead and momentum seemed such that it would be impossible for even Sparty to screw it up. Sparty never disappoints.

John L Smith having Drew Stanton sling the ball all over the field instead of running Caulcrick and milking clock was an all-timer of a 'Holy crap, how is this moron the head coach of a Div 1 football program?' moment. Only a John L Smith coached team would lose a game on a Pick-6 when they're a first down away from the victory formation.

Well, that game will cause a person to smile.

The meltdown afterwards is classic too

"MAKE PLAYS!"
"You're asking Drew Stanton to run the option in Hurricane Katrina."
"I would rather have H.R. Pufnstuf with Teddy Ruxpin as an assistant than to have you in this booth one more week."
[Choking sounds]
"Pucker, pucker, pucker!"

Honestly the MSU beating of SCum this year seemed to break the Blue Bellies will to play football at an even pathetic level.

They have gone 1-2 since that beating and needed 3 OTs to beat NU (0-6).

I fully expect a legendary beat down this weekend. I will be disappointed with anything less than a 3-4TD win. And I can not see how it is that close. This game is a horrible match up for SCum. I can not see how SCum scores more than 10 points and it seems almost impossible that tOSU scores less than 35.

At some point SCum has to come to terms that they sux. And that their FB program needs a new HC. My hope is that they keep Hope a few more years before they go looking.

2002 was a special year...obviously. Before the Buckeyes ended Miami, another Florida school began their fall into mediocrity.

I remember hearing how the FSU players were complaining about Louisville playing too rough. I've always felt like the Florida schools all wanted to be the biggest thug on the block. I also believed that they couldn't handle it if a team didn't back down from them.

Though I didn't care who won the game, it was pretty good. I seem to remember that neither team scored a touchdown until just minutes to go in the game, when Michigan State appeared to win the game. Hook and Ladder play used and everything. Then Iowa decided that they better score a touchdown, so they did.

The CU win over ND in the Orange Bowl where the Rocket's TD punt return was called back due to a clipping penalty. Watched that game in a house full of very obnoxious domers, which made the ending awesome.
