Jerry Rice
Jerome Bettis

Ditto for me. Loved to watch the Bus run over someone, and Rice was one of the greatest all time.

As far as my current, I'm not sure. Love to see Cribbs returning kicks for Cleveland, and glad they're finally going to pay the man. The same goes for Ginn, it's nice when the teams can expand the roles of these guys and make plays with them outside of special teams, they're playmakers. I'm not an Indy fan, but watching Payton Manning destroy a defense from time to time is entertaining. Aside from that, I follow some ND alumni in the NFL and like to see some of them do well.

Hines Ward. Super Bowl MVP, 2 time Super Bowl Champion, 4 time Pro Bowler and the best blocking WR in the game. The fact people think he's dirtiest player in the NFL and he gets up smiling after he gets hit is just a bonus.

And I don't give a fuck that he cried when he thought The Bus wouldn't get a ring before he retired. He got him one the following year.

Greg Lloyd, Rod Woodson and Joe Greene are my other favorite Steelers.

My current favorite non Steeler would be Andre Johnson. Love the way he plays the game without the bullshit antics. Favorite current NFL Buckeye would be Nick Mangold.

Barry Sanders my all time non-Browns favorite. Everytime he touched the ball you just held your breath.

My current favorite Brown is Josh Cribbs...see above.

Current favorite non-Brown would probably be Mangold...he's just the definition of a no-nonsense, blue-collar player.

Much better than Howard Cosell's comment. Was it Alvin Garrett he called a Porch Monkey?

He didn't say "porch monkey" he said something to the affect "look at that monkey run" but I'm not sure if it was Alvin Garrett or not. That whole thing was taken a bit out of context...I remember our grandparents saying similar things to us when we were kids and they didn't mean it in a derogatory way. O well.

I'm a Bears fan so I alway loved Jim McMahon and Walter Payton.

Super Bowl-winning quarterback Jim McMahon says he wishes he had played baseball

At 53, McMahon is in the early stages of dementia. He is part of the group suing the NFL that says they hid the effects of concussions. Though his career resulted in a Super Bowl ring and a Pro Bowl appearance, he still says he would have played baseball if he knew what concussions would do to him.
