Come to texas and it seems like there are four kinds of liquor, American, Canadian, Scotch, or Bourbon Whisky.
I always thought of bourbon & American as the same. F.E. Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Old Crow, etc. are bourbons, at least to me. So what would an American whiskey be? (not trying to pick nits here, but am genuinely curious.)

I like, more often than not... the "M" section of most bartending manuals.

Mai Tai
Manhattan
Margarita
Martini
Mint Julep
Mojito
Molotov (Is that a drink?)

etc.

oh, the toaster says, Mimosa, too...

Bourbon is actually a type of American whisky. It is, however, so much more popular because of its sweet taste and smooth qualities that I gave it its own category. Here is a link to help you discern the difference.

Jager Bombs for me, so if anyone sees me in Tempe..... haha .. dont worry I will get a shot of whatever you want.

Also anyone ever heard of Tokoyo Teas. They have gin, rum, vodka, and Tequila, along with a little midiouri and sprite. I tried to find an exact receipe of this, but was not able too.

Also my buddies and I call these Black Outs in a bottle, because if you drink a 6 to 12, you are blacking out. 12 pack Corona, fifth of Bacardi Limon. Drink out the neck of the corona and fill with 1 1/2 to 2 shots of Bacadi Limon, flip bottle over and mix(caution will build pressure so take finger off of top away from people). NO Lime needed. After about 7-8 corona's you have around 20 drinks in you, because we all know the more we drink the stronger we make them.

Good link.
They 51% corn is the biggest difference between a whiskey and a bourbon.
Also, a bouron must also be made in Bourbon County, Kentucky (I am pretty sure they put a patent on it)
