I thought of Wink, honestly, but his body of work (What's This Song, 1964-65; Can You Top This?, 1970; Words and Music, 1970-71; Gambit/Las Vegas Gambit, 1972-78 & 1980-81; The New Tic Tac Dough, 1978-86; Headline Chasers, 1985-86; The New High Rollers, 1987-88; Trivial Pursuit, 1993; Debt, 1996-98) - highlighted of course by his time on Tic Tac Dough - seemed markedly less significant than those on the list. But hey...that's what 'other' is for.

Me too!! He was a classic game show host.... Gene was notorious for taking a few "nips" before doing the show "Match Game".

Noooo! I couldn't possibly believe that. :p

Next you are going to tell me that Richard Dawson and Louis Anderson were perpetually plastered for the Family Feud!

Debt was one of my favorite shows to catch in college. An actual question and answer that stuck in my mind:

"What eight-sided shape sounds like a cross between an octopus and a pentagon?"

"A rectangle?"

I went with Richard Dawson because he was great in "The Running Man." If I had to meet one of them, I'd guess that Ben Stein would be the most interesting of the lot.

The best all-time, however, if his show qualifies as a game show, is this guy:

Chairman Kaga is indeed a bad dude, and Iron Chef is pretty much a game show, but apart from his opening remarks and announcement of the winner, he had very little practical involvement in the show. Still, nice pick.
