I came very close to getting a Chevelle that looked just like that in High School... my dad thought it had too much power for me and wouldn't buy it. I know part of him wanted it too... I think he was right... no telling what I would have done with it.
Well, if you could have kept from wrapping it around a tree or out of a lake....you could have sold it now for some serious coin. It's amazing what people are willing to pay for these things now.

I know... I keep looking for one. Someday I want to have that car. I just can't pay 40K-60K for one now. Too bad I know nothing about cars or I would try and rebuild one...

I've liked all the cars I've owned; each had their good and bad points.
76 Subaru. It was almost new and it was mine...nothing else mattered back then. Got 100k miles out of it.
88 Dynasty. Unloaded it at 220k miles.
95 New Yorker. Totaled it out at 126k miles.
02 Stratus. Still going strong at 222k miles. Engine purr like kitty.

Got married in 94. Wifey has driven a 92 Dodge van, a 99 Taurus, and now drives an 02 Sequoia. She loves the Sequoia hands down over any other vehicle she's ever had.

We also have a 97 Dodge pickup just for working around the house, taking trash to the dump, etc.

Dream vehicle #1: One of those antique pickups with the starter button on the floor. Gotta get me ona doze.

Dream vehicle #2: My older brother came home from USAF basic training back in 1970 or so in a gold GTO. Awesome car...would love to find one like it.

I never got one of those after graduating basic! WTF!

He must have gotten a good deal on it, and of course it was used. I seem to remember something about some guy getting stationed overseas and needed to get rid of it. And my brother was just the vulture to help him out.
