Fantasy Football Advice

Need to make a decision soon - Big Ben or Fitzpatrick at QB this week?

Both have home openers and both lost last week in somewhat embarassing fashion.

Ben is the better player, but Fitzpatrick is playing KC at home when weather is no factor. Whom should I start?

Leaning towards Fitzpat...

I have Bowe starting - he's due. But Mcfast[censored] has been Cassel's favorite target.

With the emergence of Ogletree, I think Austin could see less balls.
It's a toss up. If Fitz wasn't so Grossman I'd say Johnson & Bowe.

Completely agree on point one. Bowe is way overdue, but McCluster is Cassel's favorite target out of the slot. McCluster had 10 targets last week to Bowe's six. Chiefs are at Buffalo this weekend & with the field day Sanchez displayed on them, I'd have to say nothing leads me to believe Cassel won't have the same success.

Ogletree makes it a nightmare for Dallas WR's with Austin & Dez in the mix as well. Austin did have a TD (Lucky ?), but he caught all four throws that went his way & was relatively quiet up until that drive that he got his score.

Stevie Johnson was held in check last week by Revis, despite getting a TD. He caught only four passes (55 yards), but was targeted a team high 10 times. He's had nine catches & two TD's in his last two games against KC. Despite having Fitz at the helm, I expect Stevie to have a big game considering how Matt Ryan tore the Chiefs secondary to shreds last week. With David Nelson out for the season, Donald Jones becomes the #2 & Scott Chandler is the only other pass catcher Fitz has had experience with.

The Colts only ran the ball 15 times last week compared to 45 pass attempts. This was due to the fact they were down almost the entire game. Reggie Wayne had a monster game though, with nine catches for 135 yards & saw a remarkable 18 targets. With a monster performance like that & the fact they get Minnesota at home this week, who Blaine Gabbert had a pretty solid game against last week, I'd roll with him if he was on my team.

With all that being said, I'd roll with Stevie Johnson & Reggie Wayne. They're clear #1 receivers on there team & have favorable matchups this week. Yeah, Stevie Johnson's QB sucks, but he is going to be throwing his way a lot against a weak secondary at home. Bowe is a good start as well, but Cassel clearly likes McCluster, which is something to keep in mind. Bowe is definitely due for a big game & plays against a weak secondary as well, so he is worth starting as well, but I like the other two just a little bit more. Austin has Ogletree & Dez to contend with now, which creates a nightmare scenario. All three of these guys are capable of monster games every week, but it's tough to call who will have the better day of the three.

I think I heard Reevis is out for the Jets this weekend now. Makes Bowe look even better.

I thought he was still questionable, but you're right, he's been ruled out for Sunday. Chiefs are playing Buffalo, so that really only affects Mike Wallace/Antonio Brown/Big Ben owners.

Ok, i'm in need of a WR bad, looking to make a trade...here are my starting RB's and WR

RB: Forte and Murray
WR: Jennigns and Heyward-Bey
RB/WR flex: Bradshaw

my bench is Meachem and Stephen Hill, also have Owen Daniels has a backup TE that could use as trade bait..

I'm thinking about trading Forte and Jennings for a top WR, you think I can get a good WR with that package?

Guess it depends on who is the wr your going after... Jennings has a groin injury and forte didnt look good vs the packers.... Guess it depends on your league... The fact that forte is a giant upgrade from the pile of dog poo that is my 2nd rb.. I would likely take the trade

I'm torn.

Kevin Smith
or
Kendall Hunter

Gut says Hunter as he's the 3rd down back and spell's Gore on the regular.
On top of the fact I don't think Detriot will be able to run on SF while I feel SF will have great success.

One is the starter, the other the #2.

Thoughts?

I went with Wayne and Johnson. I honestly can't say what made me go in that direction - perhaps familiarity more than anything. I've never had Austin on any of my fantasy teams before, so I'm not sure yet what to expect in terms of reliability. I've had Bowe before and he's a contributor but he's inconsistent. Turns out all four guys scored this weekend, with Bowe getting two TDs. I'm not missing him one bit right now though, as my team is rolling.

Also, I don't think "emergence" is the right word for Ogletree. I passed him up on the waiver wire, he looks like fool's gold to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but he can't match Bryant for talent and he can't match Austin for his chemistry with Romo.

Thank you Eli Manning you magnificent goofy looking bastard.... if not for the pick fest in the first half... still got me 37 points  Everyone was outstanding... cept my Kicker (Dan Bailey of the bi-polar cowboys) & D.. Jets... pleased... up 139 to 110... Only guy he has left is Tony Gonzales... he's not making up 30 points with him... unless Matty Ice throws everything to him.

had a trade offered to me:

Guy offering:

Michael Bush
Eli Manning
Santonio Holmes

for

Frank Gore
Greg Jennings
Matt Schaub

If I traded Gore, that would leave me with Bush, Shonn Green, Redman, and Jonathan Stewart at RB in a league where you start two and also have a flex.

Stafford is my QB, Schaub is my backup

Fitzgerald, Crabtree, Brandon Lloyd, Desean Jackson and then Holmes would be my receivers.

Thoughts?
