Fantasy Football Advice

My team (8 team league with one keeper):

QB: Brees
RB: Rice (keeper)
RB: Murray
WR: Green
WR: White
TE: Graham
Flex: Wallace
D/ST: Jets
K: Gostkowski

Bench:
Schaub
Green-Ellis
Wells
Steve Johnson
Fred Davis
Ravens

I'm currently winning 87.76-86.74. He's done for the week while I still have three to play tonight/tomorrow. I'm REALLY liking my team except for lack of depth at RB.

My team officially shit the bed.... bless my heart they sucked ass... also my #2 RB (and Keeper) Freddie Jackson goes down with an injury.... now i need a miracle (ie 50+ points) from Rice tonight and brandon tate to do nothing to have a chance at winning... which means Rice is gonna blow out his knee or ankle in the first 5 minutes...

Matty Ice went the fuck off yesterday. Major thumbs up to whomever had him starting.

He's my starter on 2/3 teams. Won a league last year with him as my starting QB.

Last couple years he has been good for a consistent 18-20 points per week in Yahoo standard scoring, almost regardless of matchup. If you're solid at other positions, that's really all you need at QB. He's been at the front of that second tier of QBs for a couple years now, and out of that group seems like the most likely to make the leap to the first tier alongside Brady, Brees, Rodgers, etc. I don't know if he'll get there, but I'd honestly be happy with another healthy season like he had last year.

As mentioned above I friggen love my pay ppr team.
In the draft everyone went for qbs and wrs early, which left me with by far the best RBs in te league. I have McCoy rb1, Forte in the flex, and d. Martin, r. Williams, and gerhart on the bench. I also have jimmy graham, which will outperform most receivers. For receivers I'm not elite, but more than serviceable with d. bryant, harvin (both usual starters), then I have denarius Moore, Blackmon, and Greg little (whose hitting the waiver wire for Alshon Jeffrey, McCluster, or Ogletree (if he somehow isn't picked up before me).

If all those get picked up I'll snag whomever was dropped to get them lol.

I out score every team in the league by more than 15 points, most by 50-60+ points. I feel very good about landing in the $$$.

I'd like to thank DeAngelo Williams for Mike Sharting the bed on one of my cap teams. Other than that, no disasters this week, though I need Rice to go intercontinental tonight to win in the Deuce.

who to pick up from FA?

Stephen Hill
James Jones
Amendola
Mike Williams

Sanchez likes throwing Hill's way (2nd most targets last week), and he was getting red zone targets last week (Two TD's), but he did drop a few passes in preseason. The big question here is whether or not Sanchez keeps throwing it often throughout the season. He would be #1 on my list out of these four.

James Jones plays for Green Bay so that's a big risk because Rodgers loves to spread it around to everyone. Jones ended up being the leading receiver for the Packers last week, but he was the least targeted player & I believe three of his four catches, including the TD, came on one drive alone. Jennings & Nelson are obviously going to draw the most coverage, but with Randall Cobb emerging last week as well, this is a tough one to call right now.

Amendola is clearly St Louis's #1 receiver. He was targeted nine times last week to Brandon Gibson's four times, although Gibson got the TD. No other receiver on the team even got more than three looks. If you're in a PPR league, he's valuable & even more valuable if your league factors in punt return yards because he's the punt returner. He's the safest pick out of the bunch, but he also missed 15 games last year. He also had 85 catches two seasons ago, so he & Bradford know each other well.

I'm not touching Mike Williams. Yeah, he had a TD last week, but he only had two catches for 12 yards. He was only targeted three times last week, but that was 2nd most for receivers on the team (RB & FB had four targets each). It's hard to go off a low-scoring game like the Bucs played last week, but Vincent Jackson (10 targets) is clearly Josh Freeman's #1 guy at this point. This looks to be a run first team anyways.

If I had to rank those four in order I would go Hill, Amendola, Jones & Williams. Hill is at worst #2 receiver on the Jets (Holmes #1), but if he keeps getting red zone looks & Sanchez continues to trust him, he might turn out to be worth starting somewhere down the road. Amendola is the clear #1 receiver in St Louis, so this is the safest bet, but Hill's potential I think is better. Jones & Williams are worth looking at, but I wouldn't pick them up unless you had to & even then, they're not worth starting.

Waiver wires.... I'm 8th on the list :(
TE:
Current - Celek & Keller
Avail - Marcedes Lewis & Dennis Pitta... Thinking about droping Keller for Lewis?

WR:
Current drop candidates: Manningham, Santonio (don't want to really), B Scott
Avail - Kerley (have a claim in already), Hill (not even gonna waste my time), Andre Roberts -AZ, Gibson - STL, Aldrick Robinson - WASH

Thoughts? I'm screwed with my 2nd RB.... put it claim for Alfred Morris, but he's gonna be gone by the time my transaction goes through.

Keller for Lewis seams ideal to me. Even though Pitta was great on Monday night, Baltimore has Ed Dickson as well, so it's difficult to say after one week whether or not Pitta will be the go to guy all season at TE for Flacco. Lewis is also a gamble with Gabbert at the helm, but he's a safer pick at this point because of the competition Pitta might face from Dickson.

I wouldn't drop Santonio quite yet. He was the Jets most targeted receiver in week one, although Hill & Kerley got the TD's. I still he think he's their #1 receiver, but Sanchez definitely likes Hill too. All those guys are at best #2 receivers on their respective teams so that's where it gets tricky.

Kerley is a good option if your league factors in punt return yards, but having two WR's from the same team is not recommended. Roberts looks to be the #2 in Arizona (Nine targets last week. Two less than Larry & five more than the next receiver) & with Fitzgerald drawing top coverage, could also be a viable option. Just keep in mind with Roberts how poor Arizona's passing game is with Skelton (14-28 last week). Gibson seems to be the #2 in St Louis despite the addition of Steve Smith in the off-season. Amendola is the #1, but he missed 15 games last season & Gibson got the red zone look last week, so that's something to keep in mind. Aldrick Robinson is a tough one to call because Garcon was knocked out of the game early last week. RGIII spread the ball around to everyone & I think he will continue to do so, which is why I wouldn't gamble on him this early quite yet.

I would go for Hill, but at 8th in the waiver list, you probably won't get him. All these other guys are viable options, but they all got TD's in week one so they probably appear to be better options than they really are. Gibson & Robinson pose the biggest risks at this point, but it's to early in the season to really tell. Roberts would be a safe bet if he didn't play in Arizona, because Skelton is not a very good passer & got hurt last week. Kolb tossed him the TD, so if they roll with him, he could be a good choice, but Arizona is to bad on offense to say.

WR: Need to start one other opposite Calvin Johnson

Wes Welker
Kevin Ogletree
Stephen Hill

I think it's down to Welker or Hill. I already have DeMarco Murray as a RB, so I don't him and Ogletree stealing points from each other.

as for QB: Cutler vs GB or Vick vs Baltimore

The league I'm in is a reduced scoring system. Cutler scored 10.96 points last week, and even with Vicks horrendous game, he still managed 7.94. I suppose Cutler is the safe choice, but you never know when Vick could go off. Seems less likely vs Baltimore though.

Maybe I just made my own decision on QB
