Fantasy Football Advice

Off to my usual start (got trounced in both leagues that I'm in), so I'm seeking advice: need 2 out of Pierre Thomas, Jamaal Charles, or Brandon Jackson. I've got Jerome Harrison, too, but who knows how the touches will go this week with the Browns. My lean is Thomas and Charles. I want to wait and see how Jackson does this week before putting him in.

I've got Celek and the Dallas D, as well. No good waiver pickups available so we'll see what happens.

I'd go with Charles and Thomas as well...only thing that makes me nervouse about Charles is splitting carries with Thomas Jones.

I picked up Jackson in my ESPN league because I needed RB depth and was the #1 waiver spot after week 1 (sometimes starting 0-1 can be a blessing). I have to pick three of Darren McFadden, Joseph Addai, Brandon Jackson, Lesean McCoy and CJ Spiller. I am leaning towards the first three because McCoy only got 12 touches last week and Spiller gained something like 8 yards on 7 carries.

I was able to pickup Jermaine Gresham...I am starting him instead of Celek this week.

I don't know dude, the Addai is the next Edge experiment looks over...I might put in McCoy (actually, I would) instead, because with Vick under center they will run more...with both Vick and McCoy, I believe. Spiller is a bust until proven otherwise, so I like Run DMC, Jax, and McCoy for you there.

Thomas and Charles are certainly the safer picks. Thomas goes against SF, which won't be easy (Seattle had virtually no running game against them last week), so I'd be very tempted to swap out with Jackson against Detroit.

All about matchups...I confess to not even knowing where Scheffler is anymore, who does he have this week?
Scheffler is with Detroit who is playing Philly at home and the Falcons play Arizona at home. Gonzales might be better this week, but Scheffler is expected to to get a lot more balls thrown his way with Shaun Hill at QB.

Gonzalez is clearly on the downside, and Arizona is pretty good against the pass, though St. Louis lit them up last week in terms of yards (not really to the TE though). If Hill is a TE dumper, you could probably get a few points out of Scheffler. With TEs it really all depends on where you think the prospect for a TD is better, because they basically aren't going to get you more than 4 or 5 catches and 40 or 50 yards most weeks.

Favre vs. Detroit or Flacco vs. Cleveland?

I know these are both mediocre QBs, but that's all I got. :(

Flacco...Rice and Harvin are hurt and no one else in Minnesota is capable of catching a forward pass. With Boldin and Mason, Joe should have a good (not great, but good) week against the Browns.

Need Help Pick my 2nd Running back for this week:

Choices are:

Willis McGahee at Cleveland - He's clearly the backup but I think Baltimore will score in bunches and he could shark some touchdowns late in the game or if Ray Rice has big runs

Brandon Jackson at Chicago (Monday Night) - Nice to have a monday night player in play. He's the starter on a team that throws alot. Last week scored a TD but only 11 carries for 29 yards.

Felix Jones at Houston - Splits carries with Marion Barber and Dallas is struggling but he catches 3-5 passes a game, is great on screens and really explosive. Houston has been kinda bad defensively too.

Help!

Wow, now THAT'S a tough one, actually. Jackson is the only starter in the bunch, but he did dick last week other than the TD and the Bears even shut down Best the first week. Dallas will probably throw 50-60 passes since Houston gave up 426 to McNabb last week and 433 to Manning in week 1, and McGahee might only get 5 carries if the Ravens are trying to "get Flacco going" this week as they have been claiming. I dunno, it's a crapshoot...I might go with Jackson one more week just to see if the Pack really uses him or is committed to him, but honestly Felix Jones might be your best play this week for a big play.

Agreed...I would probably give Jackson one more week in hopes that the Packers will as well...Dallas flat out doesn't run the ball and while Felix Jones is clearly the most explosive of the three, it's hard to gauge how many touches he will get. McGahee's best hope is to vulture a TD away from Ray Rice...and right now Rice looks like the better goal-line option anyways.

For reference sake, here is how ESPN projects them this week:

Willis Mcgahee - 1
Brandon Jackson - 9
Felix Jones - 4

Pick 2 RBs to start, but note your top guy (Todman could be injured this week, not sure if I need 2 yet)

RB Trent Richardson vs Florida - Backup but produced well (8 rush 85 yds 2 rec 25 yds 1 td) vs Arkansas and already has a KR TD. Florida up next.
RB James White vs Michigan St - backup but produced big time last week against poor Austin Peay (4 tds), has taken Montee Ball's spot as the backup. Should get some quality touches this week against an average MSU d.
RB Edwin Baker vs Wisconsin - starter, home-run threat, gets some goal line carries but not all
RB Leveon Bell vs WIsconsin - more talented but less speedy backup.
