love your WRs....but I'm not very high on El Guapo this year. I think his shitty team is going to let him down as a fantasy player. We had our draft today. I picked #10 out of 10 based on the luck of the draw.
I really didn't want to pick in the top 4 or 5 in our snake draft as I felt there were 15 or 16 players worthy of a first round pick in our scoring system (QB centric but with some bonus points too for versatility and big plays). I wanted to get at least 2 of those 16 players. Picking at #10 and 11 I knew I would.
We had a new guy in the league this year. He went a little nuts I feel, but I liked his team. He went with ODB at #1 overall. Not a PPR league. Next off the board went Andrew Luck and Aaron Rogers, it is a QB league I am in and I figured they would be gone by #10. Still a little surprised that that was our top 3. Antonio Brown went off the board next to our commish who then went with AJ Green and Alshon Jeffrey with his next two picks. Odd fact, every receiver he has has the first initial A. Can't remember the rest of his crew other than Hawkins for the Browns.
The new guy who popped ODB at #1 overall came back with Ryan Tannehill in round #3 as the third QB selected, ahead of Peyton Manning for instance. He then went with Sam Bradford later as the 6th QB off the board.
I wanted to go RB WR WR in no particular order with my top 3 picks unless I could get Rogers or Luck. If I had the #1 overall pick I would have selected Adrian Peterson personally. Peterson fell to #7 in our league to my brother, the crazy bearded guy.
Jamaal Charles and Demaryious Thomas were on the board after 9 picks so I took those two guys at 10 and 11.
Here is my full team.
QB: Matt Ryan and Eli Manning
RB: Jamaal Charles, Lamaar Miller, Carlos Hyde, Alfred Blue
WR: Demaryious Thomas, Brandin Cooks, Golden Tate, Nelson Agholor, John Brown, Marcus Wheaton
TE: Jason Witten, Antonio Gates
K: Brandon McManus, Robbie Gould
Defense: Miami, Atlanta
I wanted to wait longer than I did for Ryan and Manning, or any QB really, but when the new guy locked up his back up QB before 5 other teams picked their starter, I didn't want to wait and fuck around either. I think both QB's have lots of potential to do well. This league is over 20 years old now and is QB driven. QB TD throws are a full 6 points and anyone scoring a TD not in their traditional way gets double points (for a QB running one in, or a RB catching a TD, or a WR running one in on a reverse). No negative points. Interceptions and sacks are meaningless, just score TD's and pile up yards and then get the bonus points for length of TD's and oddball scoring. Heck Matthew Stafford is generally a top 5 or so QB in this league most years just because he puts up yards and his picks don't hurt.
Really happy to get Carlos Hyde as my third RB selected.
I like how TE worked out waiting and then getting Gates as a quality backup for the last 2/3 of the season.
Probably my favorite pick though was the Dolphins Defense. I like a good D, but more importantly I like a bunch of crappy O's. The Dolphins get the Bills and the Jets twice in division, that should be plenty, but it is even better. They open with the Washinton Foreskins and then get the Jaguars next. 4 gravy games to start the season and 6 out of the first 7 are sub par offenses.

Pick the Dolphins D, I think they will score well the first half of the season and then their schedule gets much more brutal and I will cut their ass then. Atlanta also plays in a weak division with crappy Tampa and Carolina offenses and the one week of the first 7 you don't want to start they get a creampuff.
Atlanta has a bunch of gravy late season games, the perfect compliment to the Dolphins.

I wanted the Browns D honestly to get me one Brown, but that didn't happen. Browns have a nice start to their D schedule too. Dolphins and Atlanta though are a great duo and not hard to target in a draft.
