I put my claim in for him. Unfortunately I'm 8th in the waiver order. Fortunately one of the 2 guys smart enough to take him is behind me.
I also need a WR, so I'm hoping if there is a scramble for AP, that frees up Mike Evans' overrated ass.
Somebody in one of my leagues grabbed him before I could, I asked around if anyone else put in a waiver. Everybody said no with the exception of two people.
Either way its a moot point, the guy ahead of me in waiver is 4-5, has scored the least amount of points in the league and has one of these worst lineups I've seen in a while.
I'm sitting at 7-2 in 1st place and have the most points scored in this league with the 4th fewest given up.
Trade deadline is approaching, which gives us a week to hear about more AP news. If things are solid (since its a keeper league) I'll send the guy an offer with a late round pick. That will secure my dominance
at RB.
Things are also quite interesting in my other league. I dopped 2 of the last 3, with one of those losses being by 2 points. So instead of being 7-2 like my money league I"m 6-3. Currently in 3rd with a favorable
matchup as Lacy and Alshon come off their bye weeks. I'm picking up Pittspukes defense against those J-E-T-S, Russell Wilson should bounce back against the Gmen and Kelvin Benjamin is going against the
Eagles questionable secondary. This team scares me though - Wilson is going to produce less with the Hawks turning to Lynch more in the later parts of the season. Benjamin either has a highlight reel catch
or a stone cold drop. Chicago's offense isn't clicking but they're pass happy so garbage time is still getting me points. Its just that my once strong TE situation of Cameron and Kelce looks shakey.
Its strange, I"m 6-3 in this particular league with what should be, a dominant roster top to bottom. No holes, no glaring weaknesses. Consistent production at every position, especially WR (Brown, Alshon, Benji, T.Williams & Edelmen for good measure) I've just had one fluke loss and 2 extremely close games that came down to Monday night.
Had Peterson stashed in most of my leagues until about 3 weeks ago, then I just didn't have room to hold on to him anymore. Sucks.
Oh well. For this weekend, advice?
FLEX position. start either Terrence West vs Bengals on short week, or Boobie Dixon vs KC. Or start both of them and bench Darren McFadden vs Denver.
I'm thinking maybe McFadden won't do much because Oakland will be playing from behind most the game.
Start West - it isn't even close for debate. Dixon vs KC top rated rush defense and McFadden vs Denver's pissed off defense that will smoother the Raiders.
edit: Maybe
@NFBuck can help me. Should I start New Orleans defense vs the Niners?
The Saints have the potential in the trenches to do some serious damage against San Fran's Oline, but its extremely hard to trust them. Thoughts?
