Fantasy Football Advice

finished a draft in a league I have money on. Had 1st pick, 10 team league:

QB: Matt Ryan, RG3, Cutler

RB: Peterson, Ridley, Ball, Gree-Ellis, Shane Vereen

WR: Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, Chris Givens, Hakeem Nicks, Malcolm Floyd

TE: Tony Gonzolez

K: Gostkowski

DEF: Seattle

Thoughts? Starting positions are:

QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
TE
Flex
DEF
K

commish of league sent me a note today. He typed in the names wrong and I actually have Michael Floyd from Arizona and NOT Malcolm Floyd from San Diego. Michael Floyd is suppose to have a breakout season in Arizona's pass happy offense as the #2 receiver. That should help things in the WR department because I'm not crazy about the idea of starting TWO receivers from the same team in Cruz and Nicks. I also dropped Cutler and picked up Emannuel Sanders.

Draft finished up a while ago - league is QB-1, RB-2,WR-3,TE-1,Flex-1,K-1,Def-1
QB - Ryan, Rivers
RB - McCoy,McFadden,Ball,Pierce,Brown,Ballard
TE - Rudolph, Fleener
WR - Marshall,White,Nelson,Jennings,Little, More
K - Walsh
Def - SD

feeling better than I have the last few years. RB could be feast or famine.
advice from a Raider fan and a guy who has had McFadden a few years in a row: see if you can find somebody that wants him after a few weeks of production. the guy always hits a wall early....and every year it's the week before I'm ready to pull the trigger on a trade.

I just traded Miles Austin/Giovani Bernard for Golden Tate/Darren McFadden and need someone to tell me that was a good trade.

Also, my team (from an auction draft) looks like this:

QB: Cam Newton
RB: C.J. Spiller
RB: Darren McFadden
WR: Julio Jones
WR: Demaryius Thomas
WR: Cecil Shorts
TE: Brandon Myers
Flex: ?
K: Mike Nugent
Def: New England

Bench (QB): Tony Romo
Bench (RB): Montee Ball
Bench (RB): Le'Veon Bell (broken foot, I know)
Bench (RB): Rashard Mendenhall
Bench (WR): Golden Tate
Bench (WR): Josh Gordan
Bench (TE): Jermaine Gresham

I banked on a lot of young guys and hope that at least one of them has a break out year. I'm worried that I'm going to be second guessing myself on the flex spot all year and will always go with the wrong player- especially when McFadden inevitably gets injured.

I just had what I think was the worst draft in history. I had the 11th pick. Draft went like this.

12 teams, start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, DEF

Calvin Johnson

Matt Forte

Randall Cobb

Frank Gore

RG3

San Fran defense

Jermaine Gresham

Tavon Austin
Mike Wallace
Bilal Powell
Sam Bradford

That is the order I took everybody in as well. Taking Johnson was my first mistake. I wanted to go RB RB, but he's sitting there at 11, it was hard to pass up. Then the whole thing went to shit. I should have went with Ridley instead. Oh well.

I don't think it's that bad, especially if Forte gets more GL carries like they are saying he will. I envision a bounce-back year for him. Cobb, it's hard to say, he'll have huge weeks and down weeks, and Gore is old but someone is going to have to help out CK in SF because it ain't gonna be the Frankenstein receiver corps. Plus RBs with running/RO QBs can have big years (Alfred Morris). SF D is OK, Gresham isn't the greatest TE pick but will help you in probably 3-5 weeks...basically all comes down to health of RGIII and CJ. If they play 12-15 games each you could be fine.

I've done 4 drafts so far and my earliest pick was 10th. :tibor:
Tonight's draft was: qb, 2wr,2rb, te, flex etc .5 PPR
Spiller
Chris Johnson
Randall Cobb
Steven Jackson
Giovani Bernard
Desean Jackson
Tony romo (ugh)
Jared cook
Josh Gordon
Vick
DHB
Jordan Cameron

Overall I'm pretty happy with that draft. I can play 3 RBs at a time and I think desean will have a good year. Some teams in the league are desperate for a starting rb. Ill let them panic a little and then trade for a top level receiver and backup rb.

I am playing fantasy football for the first time in 10 years. I need help. Standard scoring 12 team league with guys from work. I need bragging rights.

QB: Manning
RB: Peterson
RB: DeAngello Williams
WR: Brandon Marshall
WR: Marques Colston
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Blair Walsh
DEF: Baltimore
Flex:

BN: Eddie Lacy
BN: Vick Ballard
BN: Chris Givens
BN: Steve Smith
BN: Steve Johnson
BN: Phillip Rivers

Question 1. Who do I start in my flex? I don't have favorable team matchups with Steve Smith going against Seattle and Eddie Lacy going against SF. I am leaning Lacy.

Question2. Defenses like Pittsburgh and San Diego are still available in my league. Should I consider swapping out baltimore?

Question 3. I am not happy with my RBs but there isn't anything left on the wire. Pierre Thomas, Redmon and Shonn Green and the top 3 left. Any thoughts on how I can improve this situation would be awesome.

Any other advise/comments on my roster and week 1 situation are welcome.
