Adios
Anyone else planning on picking this up? There hasn't been a great RPG on 360 since Oblivion, and now two (Fable 2 and Fallout 3) will be out by the end of the month.

Based on everything I've seen from this game (videos, diaries, video diaries :tongue2:), it looks like it has the potential to be the best game on the 360. I'm pumped. I'd be even more pumped if I could get my Pub Games character out of debt.......

You get Pub Games when you reserve Fable 2 at Gamestop.

So yeah.. discuss.

I'm getting it because I loved Fable for the original XBox. I'm a little disappointed that the XBL co-op won't be ready on release, but I hope it is quickly addressed.

That is a bit disappointing. Looked like that was going to be a potentially ground-breaking feature. I'm still pumped. :tongue2:

I am hearing a lot about fable 2, I may pick it up, but not on release, I have GH world tour on order and I am working on GTA4, so I don't want to get ahead of myself. I think I need to get a gamefly account, now I have a Wii, 360 and my psp, maybe it's time to start renting games...

Fallout 3 = different
Guitar Hero = not different

Fallout is the way to go.

I probably won't get to play much Fable tonight after work. Group project tomorrow. But tomorrow night... you'd better believe I'll be up all night. Game looks incredible, and sounds incredible based on reviews.

Fallout 3 will be much like Oblivion. But I don't think that's what you're asking about. :tongue2:

IGN has a decent review, but I'm still waiting for the Gametrailers.com review. They have the best reviews from what I've seen, and they're in HD video format, instead of text. :)

If it's anything like the original Fable, there will be a little more guidance than Oblivion. But it sounds like there will be a lot more to do than there was in Oblivion, as far as non-main story jobs/quests/etc.

I don't know anything about Fallout 3. It's name suggests that it might be more futuristic than The Elder Scrolls. I like the free range style that Oblivion has, and like being able to create different characters with different powers/skillsets and such. If Fallout 3 is like that, then I'd be interested in that as well.

And if I could do this type of stuff online with my brothers then that would be cooler still.

I appreciate the tip but I'd rather get reviews for these types of games from fellow players on here. :)

By "guidance" I'm guessing that you mean you have to do the bulk of the game in a specific sequence (kinda like the latest Zelda game)?

That, or maybe you don't have the same amount of variety in ways that you can complete tasks. I could be way off, I haven't played it yet.

Fallout 3 should be like a post-apocalyptic Oblivion. It's made by the same people. When I get back from work I'll dig up some info on both for you.. I remember seeing a really nice Fallout FAQ that did a lot of comparing to Oblivion.

Or I could just play Fable when I get home and tell you how it is. :tongue2:

sounds good. I can just do a search on Fallout 3, not a big deal. I'd rather get your impressions on Fable 2.

I've played about an hour and change of Fable 2 so far, mainly just the introductory stuff. So far, I like it. The graphics, especially in the cut-scenes (in HD) are freaking fantastic.

The gameplay feels just like the original Fable, with the simple but fun/effective melee/shooting/will power buttons. Albion, from what I've seen so far, is freaking huge. You can follow the game in a linear fashion, but there are many side trails and quests that can prolong the gaming experience even longer. Supposedly, according to reviews, the game only takes between 8-12 hours to beat if you just go through it without following the side quests.

I'll post more after I've played some more. I noticed that the online feature for XBL was working, however I havne't played with anyone yet, so that's still up in the air.
