DeShaun Thomas's coach says he did indeed commit to the Buckeyes. Also mentions that hoop scoop ranks him 2nd in the class of 2010

Hoop Scoop is very high on Thomas, but it's going against the grain a little bit and will have someone else ranked as the top player in the country.

"We have Brandon Knight first and Deshaun Thomas a close second," Johnson said. "And we have Sullinger third. Knight is seriously looking at Ohio State, so it's possible that Matta could get the top three players in the nation in this class. And since they only have one to give for the '09 class, this is the one they are really going after."

The great thing about this commit is that Matta has already done his work for '08 and there isn't much to be done for '09, so he can focus on keeping Thomas (because we know he's going to keep getting recruited...)
