I appreciate that you tried to convince them not to sing at our stadium. I realize that it was inevitable and would have happened somewhere. The fact that it happened is not your fault.

At some point the line has to be drawn. They dragged our school through the mud all of last year based on Clarett's allegations (that proved to be false once again). They dedicated sweeps to the bash session on OSU. We couldn't even watch the alamo bowl action in the 2nd qtr b/c they turned it into a talk show (and actually missed an entire play of Oklahoma St, who was showing life for the first time).

And now they pull this stunt. Somehow I don't think Bo is going to allow Herbie and Corso to simulate a Script Ohio on the Michigan field after the game in November. It was appalling, and done only to create hostility and ratings.

How many unwarranted stunts must occur before OSU tells ESPN that they have had enough?

I don't question your loyalty, and I'm sure you are in an awkward position. But the disrespect towards our university has to stop.

Josh, Thanks for your note. I think we are all on the same page here. Let’s just hope for nine wins now and a berth in the championship game, then we can deal with ESPN.

I respect the fact that he still answering his inbox, which is surely bombarded this week. Would I have preferred he told them no? Sure... but I have a feeling he understood that it was pointless to try and fight this stupid stunt. There are lots of details we don't understand (such as how unreasonable ESPN probably was, and that contractual issues might have tied Snapps hands), and while the vengeance in many wants ESPN to be attacked outside, I would imagine Snapp had the foresight to realize it would be horrible for OSU if they were near fans when they did it.

if they feared fan retribution, then they knew they shouldn't have been pulling that bullshit stunt...

i am absolutely appalled by such a blatant show of disrespect... this is clearly a slap in the face and there must be consequences... i'm sorry... i am of the opinion that Snapp's resignation should be immediately called for... this act was inexcuseable, intolerable, and unacceptable... since he had the final say, he should pay the price...

finally, the gauntlet has been thrown... E!spn must pay... this is fucking WAR.

lv, you said it best. I am not really going to add anything because it will just be bitching and moaning and there is enough of that already on here. The fact is that perhaps ESPN had a defense in the past with all the shit they pulled with us, but that was the straw that broke the camel's back. They have officially gone too far and have no defense to what they did. We as a community can't just sit here and let this nework put our school to shame. Holbrook isn't going to do anything about it so i wouldn't go that route. Maybe some emails to Bucks supporters like herbie or the herd or anyone...i don't know, that woudl listen and maybe help put a stop to this madness. Other than that I know not what to do besides boycott their website and tv stations.

I don't understand why we are trying to repair a relationship with E$PN in which they created hostility. It's like a wife that tries to get her husband back that cheated on her and left her. It's ludicrous. For national exposure you say? Screw that, people know about us. I've got news for you bitches at E$PN- it isn't a party until WE show up. Take Stuart Scott's glass eye and his wigger attitude and roll him down a trash chute. Stick the Florida State spear up Marc May's ass if he wants to ride the bandwagon so hard. We keep scheduling the Texas', USCs (which in a couple of years we'll get our revenge on Nick Simpson by kicking the shit out of them; by the way, doesn't ol' Jessie know he's a fag?), Va Techs and Miamis of the world- they will come crawling back into our bed wanting to suck US off. They have no choice. Our game with Texas was the only OOC game worth a shit this year, they HAD to be here because this was the only game people gave a shit about. Snapp should have said, "You aholes at ESPN have been toeing the line for some time now. This time, you've crossed it. There's the door." This was our chance to set the record straight and tell ESPN to RECOGNIZE, and instead we took it without lubrication. I'm fed up. My wife says, "What's the big deal? It's just a song." You know, honey, you're right. It is just a song (our fightsong is a symbol of strength, not just a song). However, singing that shit tune on top of our stadium is a back handed power bitch slap to all that tOSU stands for. The Woody Hayes, the Eddie George, the Archies and Hopalongs BUILT this culture where many fans wallow within the tradition for their entire lives. Kids are decorated with tiny OSU football jerseys in their first hospital pictures. People get BURIED with OSU jerseys on. This isn't just a hip thing to do- it's a religion of sorts. And do you know what would happen if you walked into a church and pissed on Our Father's floors? Lord, please have mercy on your soul.

When I saw it I was going crazy, but you should have seen Herbie after they did it. He stood up to kinda storm off the set and kept saying he did not know about this and he seemed really pissed.

Afterwards I had this feeling in the bottom of my stomach that it just jinxed us and was hoping we would win to let it pass. It made me better when scUM lost that day for bad karma for them but it didn't escape us.

Don't forget that that sellout Desmond Howard is also an Ohio kid. They're both has-beens who are trying desperately to revive their careers. I'm going to laugh when Jessica Simpson realizes what a washed-up chump Nick is and leaves him.

Anybody else going to the game tommorrow? If so we all need som anti-ESPN shirts/signs. I just wish gameday was still threre so they can see it first hand for themselves how much we hate their sorry asses.
