Ex-LSU QB Ryan Perrilloux (official thread)

Per the AP: Perrilloux has been kicked off the team by Miles

ESPN - LSU boots quarterback Ryan Perrilloux off team - College Football

"Coach Les Miles said Perrilloux, who had been suspended three times in his college career, "didn't fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete," but did not offer details."

What now, Rasta herb test come out wrong?

Seriously, what a waste of a future. He was in a position to get all of the publicity and accolades that a defending championship team could offer. Loads of TV time, and a chance at a good bowl game. Why some of these kids can't seem to "get it" is beyond me.

You know, I really want to feel bad for the kid. He had so much potential and tons of advantages. At the same time, he's also had every chance (and then some) to get his life straightened out. It's really a damn shame when someone wastes so much talent.

Well, good luck to you guys down in Louisiana. I hear you've got some good backups, hopefully this won't put a damper on your season.

The world of college football is chock full of thugs these days. It is not easy for a talented player to get kicked to the curb. When it happens my assumption is that if we knew half the facts we would be rooting for the kid to go to prison before he returned to the team.

Not singling out LSU. Mario's 6 on the Wonderlic tells you all you need to know about what really matters in AA. The ivy league caliber PSU can't go two days without getting a post in our Legal Blotter thread. And of course, we will always have Maurice.

There is far too much money at stake in CFB today to worry about niceties.

Good for Miles. That one hurt.

well, Les gave him at least 1 more chance than I wanted him to.
I'm glad Miles had the balls to finally pull the trigger. I hate losing our only experienced QB, but if it had to happen, the offseason is an ASSLOAD better than the week before the Auburn game.

Those guys might be an improvement over Bama fans.

Sucks for LSU and their fans, but good move by Miles.. I'm not a huge fan of him, but I like him more because he did the right thing.

scUM definitely got the wrong coach. At least Miles dismissed Perrilloux with a statement that wished him luck in the future, rather than a "I only talk about Michigan football players (unless I want to bash them)." :tongue2:

None of the provided links have Miles' full statement, I'm pretty sure he wished him luck.. heard it on TV a few minutes ago.

LSU fans, who are the backups and how do you think they can do in this year's SEC?
