Evidently, Ohio State sucks and ND is great

I can't wait to hear them talking about the "heroic effort" against that Ohio State titan after we win.

I think Notre Dame has a good team but I also think that they played a much easier schedule and that they will not know what to do with our defense on the field.

One simple question:

What will ES-spin do when USC loses to Texas and ND gets crushed by OSU?

Seriosuly, if this 2005 USC squad doesnt get a NC, will they retract their statements that they are better than the likes of the 1997 Michigan team, or the 2002 OSU team that DID get rings and trophies?! I think their biggest mistake was hiring Lou Holtz. I understand hes a classic coach, but noone can understand him and he is the BIGGEST HOMER! Mark May has finally been making good points (rarity) against ND and that they dont deserve to be in a BCS bowl and will lose and Holtz couldnt rival it, so he just went and attacked WVU. Yet, later, Holtz went on to say WVU will beat Georgia!? This man NEEDS to go, hes worse than Trev Alberts was.

I hope Texas kills USC

ND was'nt the only close one for USC

I would take some of the OSU teams from the 90's if coached by TRESSEL against USC This USC team is all offense and a very average Defense

Those teams had everything with a D

I'd take some of those teams with Coop... I mean as long as they're not wearing Maize and Blue he seemed to get the job done for the most part.

'98, '97, '02, '03, '05... that's FIVE Buckeye teams in the last 8 years I'd like to see play USC.

...Just whatever. ESPN's CFB analysts are awful. It's a shame the brass at ESPN is treating USC like this. Heck, they aren't even on the East Coast. :smash:

Hell I would just about any of them, jsut look at the cailbur of players we had. (Note that Bill Conley was selected in 1999 by ESPN as the top recruiter in the antion):

Eddie Geroge, Orlando Pace, Joey Galloway, Shawn Springs, Rickey Dudley, Koery Stringer, Andy Katz, Chris Sanders, David Boston, Terry Glenn, Bobby Hoying, Kirk Herby, Rob Kelly, Mike Vrabel, Dan Wilkinson, Steve Tovar, Antoine Winfield, Joe Germaine, Ahmed Plummer, Na'il Diggs, Nate Clements, Ryan Pickett, Rodney Bailey, Reggie Germany, Ken-Yon Rambo, etc.

Y'know, reading all of these posts made me realize something. I don't just want Ohio State and Texas to win these games, I want them to pysically punish ND and SC. I don't even know if the final score matters anymore to me as long as there is a W next to our name (and Texas). If it was 31-30, great, as long as Quinn and Lienart are picking their asses up off the ground 20 or 30 times. As long as their teams go home, humbled, sore and broken. I think I may have heard this analogy on this site, but I hope that OSU and Texas' D put a sack of hammers beat down on these weak-ass, no tough competition playing, fraudulent punks who are supposedly the 2 best teams in the history of world.

Texas fan who can't believe all the hype surrounding USC. They're being touted as the greatest thing since the invention of wine, with the game against ND as proof. I see highlights of their victories over ND, UCLA, and Fresno State all day on ESPN, but I have yet to see ONE highlight of our victory over OSU. Call me crazy, but winning at the Horseshoe at night against your defense is a really, really big win. You can say it was luck that the field goal missed, or that Tressel alternated his QB's, but just BEING in a position to win at the end is a huge achievement. Evidently, ESPN doesn't share my views. Good luck against ND--hope we win and you win to end all of this talk.

Totally with you and yes, winning at the Shoe is probably the hardest thing to do in college football. It was also a record crowd at the game. Please beat SC for us. I hate those bastards.
