The one my family likes to remind me about is winning the City Spelling Bee and going to the State Spelling Bee two years running; I finished 7th in the final round out of a hundred kids and if only I had known how to spell "prevAricate" back then, I would have made it to the final two and on my way to Washington DC for the National (because the 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd place people all missed their words too that round...)

I'm a geek

Haha. Yeahhh, I've won a couple of spelling bees, too. I'm kind of surprised I forgot them. I was always proud of the fact that I was pretty good at one subject in school.

What, no Boss of the Year yet? Well, maybe that's on the horizon. Goodness knows you have your work cut out for you.

On the Quarter Horse Circuit not open horse show circuit I won the Novice Amateur Showmanship At Halter Summer circuit award at the Harlansburg 10 day summer circuit! WHEW! It was tough for those who know about Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus in October it'a a mini version of that, there are plenty of people that compete at congreess there. They come from Texas,Fla., Carolina's,New York,Georgia,Ohio of course & at least 10 other states come to this circuit in Harlansburg,Pa.
It's like a 10 day party for me except when I gotta get up at 5:00 A.M. to feed the horse then back to sleep for an hour or so,get him ready like put his tail extension on etc,yes most wear fake tails.
Once I'm done showing then it's time to get the tequila out. :drunks: :hour:

Pimp of the Year :pimp:
World's Best Husband - at least that's what the coffee mug says. I did have to buy for myself, for whatever that's worth.

Feasibility is the word I missed that knocked me out of the spelling bee in fifth grade. I ended up fourth in the county for grades 5-8. Dammit. It should be spelled feasability!

It's funny how you always remember the word you lost on. "Prevaricate" (I was thinking "verify" because it means to lie, so I used an "E" instead of "A") and "Buckram" (a kind of book binding? hadn't heard of it. Of course, the next person in line got something I knew right away. Grr.)

The only award I've won in my ADULT LIFE was a ribbon at the Marion popcorn Festival art show for a drawing.

I won the Zahniser Scholarship at Ohio State, which goes to the most outstanding junior or senior in History every year. I was also named one of the Top 50 Seniors of the College of Arts and Sciences in 1998. And I graduated summa cum laude with honors.

Yep, I am a nerd.
