Spain got what they deserved in the end. Italy were never really going to go after the game without Pirlo, who they missed dearly. Donadoni might end up being a great manager down the road, but I don't think he was the right choice to bring Italy into this particular tournament. Hopefully the FIGC manage to bring back Lippi in time to defend the title, I doubt Italy would've put in such spineless performances if he were still around.
Good for Spain. I'll be rooting for Russia the rest of the way.
