Note - I'm not doing Netherlands-Russia, but I should have a bet like this for each of the semifinal games and the championship game.

Just saying...it might happen. The call earlier in the tourney was legit, but I don't think it's that outlandish of a prediction to think Italy might score on a PK.

Will this be the year Spain moves on in the knock out stage, or will they fall short, again? I'm going with the Italians and Buffon to rise to the occasion, again. Besides, no way Buffon let's his girldfriend down. Yowza!

I hate Italy! Floppin and cryin bastards. I hope Spain beats them 5 nil but I'm betting the other way. Thats why I hate them. When I want them to lose they'll win over and over again.

Portugal, Croatia, and The Netherlands have all tasted defeat. Will Spain also get beat to make the group winners 0-4 in the quarterfinal matchups?

Seeing as how Spain cannot get past the quarters and the size difference is in favor of the Italians, a win for the Azzuri would not surprise me, I was so wrong yesterday on my prediction of Russia and the Dutch that I can't even make a call on this one, but both teams are evenly matched. Should be good football.

Food for the cynics, Spain gets a yellow for a mild foul in midfield. Italy takes down a Spaniard in the penalty area and there's no call. Replays showed a much more harsh foul than the one that drew a card, but no call was made on the Azzurri.

No score, 19th minute.
