Much as some would like to ignore, 'football in Ohio" is different than 'history of Ohio State football'.

My 4-Paul Brown, Woody Hayes,Jack Nicklaus, and Pete Rose. Pete Rose IS the Cincinnati Reds, and, as much of a doucher as he was at times, he is the greatest player on the oldest team in baseball history-and a hometown boy to boot. Oh, yeah, and that little 4,256 hits record.

I might substitute Leon Durham for Dunston in Illinois, and Shawn Kemp for Belle in Ohio.

I have never lived in IL - but you gotta figure that Dennis Rodman and those shirtless idiot whitesox fans who rushed the umpire in Comiskey would be in contention.

I might add Pete Rose one of my all time faves as an athlete but he did what he did. Let himi n the HOF but not in baseball to work.

Change the name of where, but I raise the same question tonight that I did over a year ago. Those who were advocating his place on Ohio's Mount Rushmore of Sports, you still think he belongs there?
