ESPN Player College Pass

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick query for anyone that uses the College Pass to watch games - How many Buckeye's games are generally on it each season?

I've gradually adopted the team from over in the UK over the last few seasons and fancy trying to watch them more closely this year. Initially I signed up to Buckeye Vision without realising it's Audio only so now looking to ESPN Player instead but I can't tell if it's like the NFL Season Pass with every game featured or if it's just selected games.

Any advice whether i'd get enough games for it to be worth the cost? I've tried using the ESPN online chat support but they're cagey on there to say the least!

O-H!

Where are you located? If you're in the US and have a TV, you'll get all the Buckeye games on ABC/ESPN/BTN. I used to have ESPN GamePlan years and years ago before the BTN started and there would be a game or two during the season that wouldn't be shown nationally on ABC/ESPN. Over the last 5-6 years, I can't recall a single game that wasn't available on ABC/ESPN/BTN.

Yeah, we have 'ESPN America' over here as a premium channel but it's pretty random what sports/teams/games are features on there.

Presumably ESPN Player only shows games that would be on ESPN over there? Any way of watching ABC/BTN games online (Legit, of course!)?

BTN has full streaming for international residents at $20/month -- but there's usually only 2 games/year on BTN, and they're the least interesting ones. The Hawaii game is the first one -- not sure if they've decided the second yet.
Everything else is on ESPN/ABC. I'm not sure how they do their streaming with international.

Thanks for the advice guys. Looks like a 24hr subscription to BTN International is on the cards for the Hawaii game and I'll go from there!

I think the best thing to do from over here generally is get 24 hour passes for whatever network the games are on and treat them all like PPV matches. Time differences means it's inevitable I'll have to miss some of the games so I'll pick and choose during the season :)

Hi Guys,

Sorry to drag this thread up again. It looks like this weeks game is on ESPN, but isn't available with the ESPN Collage Pass, or ABC which doesn't appear to offer any international service.

Is that pretty much game over for me this week? (In terms of live TV coverage, anyway)

Sling TV has worked well for me. It's $20/month and ESPN3 et al accept Sling as a tv provider.

Since most of the country is getting OSU-NI on their ABC affiliate, most cord cutters will have to use either an antenna for the over-the-air broadcast, ESPN3, or the WatchESPN app.
