I can live with Patrick Willis beating out Laurinaitis for the Butkus but putting Quinn above Troy for anything is absurd.

The Maxwell voters have made some very strange selections over the years (see, e.g., 1974). I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Then he must have had a huge reversal of opinion from that ESPN Gameday morning. I remember Kirk was as stunned as I was. "You mean, you don't think Troy Smith or Brady Quinn are ....?" "Nope."
