State Penn fans are saying they'll be in State College for week 2 because ESPN won't want to go to the same place two weeks in a row. Notre Ame invades SC that week in what can only be described as the Second Annual Worlds Most Annoying Fan Convention.

ESiPN's just trying to get in on the goodwill received by VT after the shootings. That day had nothing to do with football, but the tragedy won't be fully sanctified until Gamefaye shows up and Chris Fowler speaks in hushed tones with synthetic gravitas about courage and re-building together before going to some cheesey video montage and Fucking Douchebag puts on an enormous turkey head. Fuck them.

I don't see why anyone really cares where they are. Let them do the show. Make fun of the people in the audience who can't spell. Make fun of Chris Fowler for pretending his job has importance. Get mad at Lee Corso for his picks. None of it matters. It's just the opening act before your team comes to the stage.

I go to Cal and I've been waiting for College Gameday to come to Tennessee @ Cal for months now.

And they're going to pull it for some bullshit "We're ESPN and we care" show? So some montage maker can get his jollies off?

The campus was BUZZING when everyone figured out that gameday was coming to Memorial Stadium. Unfortunately, Cal's football fanbase isn't as huge as USCs or tOSUs, but when ESPN told the campus they were coming here, students started to pay attention.

Now we're left where we were: a team with a lot of heart and a great coach with a shitty, apathetic fanbase.

I thought Gameday would change that, but instead, 2 months before it happens they pull the plug.

There is no better game than Tenn @ Cal on September 1st.

And don't take this to mean that I don't care about what happened at Blacksburg. It was a serious tragedy. Serious. But the fact that ESPN is going to use it to their economic advantage is absolutely an abomination.

I am so pissed right now. What can I do?
