They are further embracing the E in ESPN. It's not necessarily "wrong" since that is what keeps eyes in sets (other than the actual sporting events-for which they grossly overpaid because no one saw the cord cutting coming). The real problem isn't that they sucked at journalism and people are tired of it, the problem is they paid extravagantly for rights and the younger crew especially is cutting the cord.Hi we're ESPN and while we've been under attack for our lack (or disrespect) of journalistic integrity for over a decade now, we're going to fix that by laying off most of our actual journalists and keep on personalities instead. That'll fix EVERYTHING!!!

I don't agree. They are paying too much for the actual sports, not the people. That's the real problem here, they can cut all the staff they want, it's a drop in the bucket compared to what they paid for the actual sports, and there might not be an easy way to recoup that investment if cord cutting rates continue. So yeah, they can make it look like they are making efforts to cut costs, but in the grand scheme, it doesn't help much.I know. That was sarcasm....embracing the E in ESPN (having that E NOT be sports they are covering and paying the exorbitant amounts for) is what got them into the mess in the first place....
