Ending neutral site games

Did they ever put that damn monorail in? Fucking thing was sitting in the parking lot as pieces for years. We have a couple of (much smaller) places in the Chicago burbs that make me miss JJs. What a great store.
Yes sir, it’s pretty sweet too(when it works ). My buddy is the GM, and he says they’ve been fidgeting with that thing for years, Jungle wants it work, and wants people to use it. I’ve seen it used a hand full of times, because there’s a bar at the end of the parking lot that takes you from the main site to the bar(again, when it works).
And yes, it’s an amazing store! Not just for the overwhelming amount of food, but you hit it the right time, and they have some amazing bourbon and beer as well(if that’s your thing)

Not knowing Ohio very well, I had to Google this, and found this song

That's the 2nd iteration of the Butter Jesus, the first one was even more terrifying(especially driving home from Dayton in the wee hours of the morning)

And to think, JJs was started by a student as a class project, and his professor said it will never work. I guess he proved those that can, do, those that can't, teach..
I remember when he started that little roadside market.

Yeah, Jungle is a really good guy! I'm also friends with his son. It's crazy to think of their wealth all from a grocery store(a massive and unique one), though they now have 2 on the opposite end of town now.

Interesting thread - one post on "neutral site" games and a thesis on Jungle Jim and redneck music reactions to lightning.

Just for the record, I'll be interested when SEC teams (other than Vandy and Kentucky) travel to cities north of the Mason-Dixon Line and east of the Mississippi River. Dallas is not a neutral site.

I think that's been done- LSU played in Ohio Stadium, and Auburn traveled to Penn State. LSU also played at Lambeau - record: Big Ten 3 - SEC 0

Alabama also traveled to Penn State about 15 years ago.

we also went to syracuse
and while technically south of the line, West Virginia is quite a hike north for us too.

Bingo! That's why the current use of Bowl Game sites for CFP games needs to be eliminated. If traveling to Morgantown is quite a hike for SEC fans, imagine what Ohio State Fans have to do to get to games in Miami, LA, Dallas, Phoenix, and Atlanta. Not to mention that the SEC CG is in Atlanta, that USC and UCLA play in the Rose Bowl, that ACC schools play games in the Orange Bowl site every other year.
