Emergency! I need one of those mini foam footballs

My two year old son, who I am seeing in couple of hours, left me a message for "more footballs!"

Obviously, I started him very, very young at throwing and catching, much to the chagrin of his mother. He doesn't have an Ohio State one though. I thought they would be easy to find in a bin somewhere.

Not so much. No on Buckeye Corner and Chambers Kroger so far. . .

I'm ordering him a Yale one for next time, and right now all he has is Ohio University.
 
His mom was upset that you were playing catch with your son? That's crappy. I mean even if someone dislikes football, throwing and catching helps develop motor skills and hand/eye coordination.

I started him pretty early. "Catch" meant "hit you in the lap at six months." But he developed a really, really good arm by age one. But now he throws everything, far. Hence the chagrin.

She is okay with it, though he will never play football due to health reasons, and honestly, I'm okay with that.

But now he is obsessed with football. I taught him football and touchdown as first words. That is normal for us, but not for others.

I found his first football after much searching. So he was happy. It all worked out. I'm thinking Long's for the tOSU one and order the Yale one online. He'll live. He knows to only throw balls. We went to Wendy's as it was cold, and the kid's meal had a ball. Yeah, sorry two tables over, you got nailed.

Think how hard it is to be two. I taught him he could only throw balls, after asking him to throw so much. Then it becomes you only throw balls but not in a restaurant. (Even Wendys). He is so good. He does what I say. But it must all seem so arbitrary to him.

I highly recommend having a kid. :)

I FOUND THE BALL!!! After many stores, Long's (or whatever it is called now) had it as a "stress ball."

I get to give it to the little guy while picking pumpkins. This may not sound like much, but for the parents out there, you know the feeling of this success.

Now to order the Yale one. And then what? He will want more. I think I'll just hit all the MAC schools.

Okay, so he got his OU ball signed by a player. I was not there. My sister in law said, "I think this belongs to this guy," not realizing that it was signed. Too funny. My in laws are not exactly sports fans.

Then in a couple more years, you've got a pre-schooler who makes you something like this. :cry:

I don't even care that I look like Oscar Pistorius. She still loves to play ball - and thinks M*ch*gan is a great state for her to poop on.
