Defense still wins Championships
Here's the situation. I currently am using Juno email. I like using this because I can download the emails to my own computer without having to worry about running out of storage and also because it's free. Unfortunately, this is not going to last much longer. They are changing it so that either I have to pay to download the emails w/ premium service or I can still have it for free, but the messages are all stored on their server.

I was looking at a few other email providers and both of the biggest ones (yahoo and hotmail) are the same way; either I leave the messages on their server or I pay. I want a free email program which lets me download my mail. Anybody have any good suggestions?

I have a few invites left for GMail from Google. It doesn't offer the ability to download messages, but it is free and has 1GB of storage space. PM me with your email address if you want an invite. Anyone else that wants to check it out also, just let me know.

Brutus, I checked into that and while you can set up hotmail through Outlook Express, the Microsoft page discussing the setup says "OE will not really download your messages - instead it synchronizes them with the Hotmail web server."

bn11- I knew it synchronized them, but I thought you could also set up folders and archive some too. It's been a while since I used that feature, so it might not work that way.

You'll probably want to try and get a gmail account then, if that's the case.
