During the Chick-Fil-A Classic, Weaver was nothing short of sturdy. Someone that can get wherever he wants with the basketball in his hands, the Florida native uses his quick blow-by moves to go along with his super strong physique in handling contact below the arc before then making the appropriate play thereafter.
One hold-up of Weaver’s was in the inconsistency of his jump shooting abilities but even looked like a strength of his where, during his middle contest of the event, he knocked down four of his six perimeter jumpers, where his efficiency all weekend long was superb. Toss in his vision and playmaking skills and Weaver has become a dynamic guard that will continue to make for giant headaches for opposing coaches.
Due to Weaver’s offensive punch and the opportunity to become a lockdown and versatile perimeter defender, a number of colleges have made a push for him of late.
