that buyout is probably only reason he is still employed.
he drank his own kool-aid during the offseason and the people pulling strings aren't happy.

one gloriously amazing season buys you good will.
everything that happened since January gets you run the fuck outta town.

So let me ask you Nutri... would you trade 2019 if it means it sets you back to a borderline 50% team for the next 3 seasons?

Your team had awesome timing last year with kids sticking around to play, Stingley coming in, and a transfer QB having a great offensive coordinator. Those teams are very rare and the stars seemed to align last season for LSU. Unfortunately it might mean irrelevance for the immediate future due to coach O being given time.

I just saw this this week, but is there truth that he's basically been partying since January?

depends on how bad this is.
if we're talking a couple "down" seasons, then I'll take that with as our price for having one of the best seasons in CFB history.

now, if this becomes absolute Epic shitshow of biblical proportions?
NCAA sanctions, Title IX issues, multiple 3 win seasons, then no 2019wasn't worth it.

I have always liked LSU more so than other SEC programs but I don't see LSU being competitive for a bit of time. Mainly because I dont trust the offensive system and the QB recruiting.

I think you guys will beat the teams you should (Vandy/Tennessee/etc) but otherwise will struggle against teams equal to or greater than until you all get a better situation at HC.
