If one of these players has close to $2K in traffic tickets, he should get a buckeye on his foreskin for "stupid ass of the year."

Lacking that, perhaps a tatoo on his forehead: "I don't give a shit about the Buckeye football team or my fellow players."

Early speculation was that EJ was skipping a class, no info. on which one. Maupins would be the parking tickets and everyone knows Duke's problem. All things considered EJ will probably get things rectified. The other two seem like they are history.

He's actually a friend of mine, so I'd appreciate it if you'd watch it, ok? He's actually a great guy and I'm sure you wouldn't say that to his face.

Just how in the he!! do you get 2K worth of parking tickets...

You either disregard the law entirely or are too stupid to realize that those little things on your windshield are tickets....

either way its bad.

So we either have a guy with no regard for the law( don't need him on the team if that is the case - cause more problems will come) or a guy who isn't too bright ( well.... he does play DT right? :biggrin: ) Guess the coaches can just say... "you, go forward, get quarterback"

Now, if you care to explain it and give me another spin...I'm all ears......

I just can't understand how it could have gotten this bad.....ever.

As far as I know, just suspended. I don't know if it's attitude and grades. He's a good kid and he seems to do well in school but overall, I don't know. Shit happens. Kids rack up these parking tickets because they think they can just get them wiped out -- they're just tickets, no reason Tress can't make a call and get them wiped, right? Well, he can't and won't.

Give him a break. It's really, really cold to be piling on someone who just got suspended. The car that he racked up all the tickets on was olllllllllllllllld and he was planning to buy a new one, so maybe he just said "fuck it, let's get it impounded and I won't have to deal with it". I don't know. Maybe he thought it didn't really apply to him. But it's wrong, he's not dumb and he's a great kid that made a mistake. Just chill. It's rude to comment on his situation without proper info.

In threads like this, I always try to remember that these "kids" are young men and that these young men are Buckeyes.

Whatever is going on with Maupin, Savante, he has made a horrible mistake and now he is paying for it. I am sorry that this has happened to your friend and respect your loyalty in standing up for him.

These things have a way of causing some people to see the error of their ways and to react positively. Things like this can be life altering times that define a person's character.

The challenge is now out there, let's see how they react. Let's hope this is one of those life altering experiences for Maupin and Underwood.

people sometimes forget there is a difference between not thinking and being dumb. hopefully he see's the oportunity he is stairing in the face sooner than later so he can take advantage of it. go smack your bud upside the head before he becomes a never was like many of us. to big an opportunity to fuck off with something so foolish.

Couldn't agree more.

This is "just a message board" and we throw a lot of derogatory terms around about players, teams, coaches and often each other.

When it comes to recruits there is zero tolerance for deragatory language.

When it comes to our own players - our very own S&G heros (many of them still teens) - I think we should all step up to the challenge of finding an appropriate way of stating our opinion. This is particularly the case when we are speculating on situations for which we do not have all the facts - which is pretty much 100% of the time.

Oh8, you spoke my thoughts bro. There is always an alternative presentation where kids, recruits or current players, do not get trashed. There is a national media and even some factions locally that can do that and often froth at the mouth in anticipation of smearing the Buckeyes. However, that should not happen here. We can discuss, debate, and question things without degrading the players or coaches.

This board has been accused of being a "Homer Board."

I agree it is. Any other perception is not acceptable IMO.
