Ah. I see. Incubators are not for clicking. They seem to be a way to display only and to bring views to an entire scroll. To make the incubator clickable, I see that on the forums people have basically embedded a link to their scroll within the incubator image.



To add new eggs maybe you have to redo the incubator?

My brain is beginning to deteriorate. I got an image of the incubator saved once but have no idea how I did it. Which is par for the course for me. Guess I will stick with the individual eggs, etc. until I can' figure out how to get them added to the incubator and get it working like others have done.

Told you I was dense when it comes to this stuff. :)

All I did was create the incubator on the cave site. Downloaded it and uploaded it to imageshack (I have my own account) then used the "direct link" code (very last) to insert the image into my post here on BP using the yellow mountain icon in the post menu. Then, I copied my scroll link (it will end in your user name, found at the very top of your scroll) and highligted my incubator in my post here on BP and created a link of the image by using the "insert link" icon (little bitty Earth wiht a chain link underneath it in the post menu above).

I don't have eggs so I dont know ho to add to the incubator but I am trying to pick one up to give it a shot.

You have already generated an incubator in the past hour. You cannot generate a new incubator until an hour has passed, so any attempts to create a new incubator will still display the old one.

You can't create a new incubator within an hour of creating one. So just wait a bit, and do the "create incubator" thing on dragcave again to add your new eggs.

I got another incubator created with the 4 eggs in it. I think I understand what you're saying about getting the image of it in my posts but whenever I try to use any of the icons above where I am typing none of them work. If I remember correctly, in the past when you move your cursor over any one of them the arrow changed to a finger pointing. For some reason it isn't doing that now and I can't use any of the icons there. Unless, again I'm missing something or doing something wrong and I don't think I am.

I don't get a finger when I mouse over the post menu icons but they do highlight blue. I click and the appropriate mini-window pops up. Try using the smilies to the right of your typing area and see if you can add those.

Sound like you need to check out, and maybe post in, the administrative forum threads. The forums went through some updates this year, something may have changed that effects your browser.

I logged out completely, cleared cookies and came back in and get the same results. Funny how it was working just fine earlier. I can post with no problem but can't use any of the tools above or the smilies....weird to say the least.

EDIT: Well, I've done everything I can think of and nothing seems to fix the problem. Logged out and back in, cleared cookies, completely rebooted and still get the same results, I can post but can't use any of the tools that are available. Posted the trouble in the admin area so we'll see what happens.
