That's the part that I'm trying to figure out. I am using the "view" code for the eggs in my signature and posts. I would think that all such clicks would register only as "views/unique views," but each of them have at least 3 "clicks" so I was wondering if maybe I accessed them in a way that registered as a "click" and how to do it again.

Maybe they were fluke clicks.

A view code is just the code to show the egg in your sig file or email instead of just the scroll. A "view" is anytime your eggs are looked at, for example anytime someone reads your post or goes and looks at your whole scroll. A "unique view" is a single day click from an IP. I can, for example, "view" your egg as many times as I look at a post from you. I only register a "unique" once a day. A "click" is just that, it's a "clickthrough", someone actually mouses over and clicks your egg thus opening up the part of your scroll that shows that exact egg/hatchling over on dragon cave. That's how I understand it all anyway.

I believe those are classified as "unique views."

My 3 newer eggs have the same number of "views" and "unique views", but one have them has 7 clicks while the others have 6. Maybe a set number of "views" will register as a "click", depending on the type of eggs. For example, every 15 "views" = 1 "click".

Ah, I dunno.

Okay, but if you don't have access to my scroll (which I assuming) and only have access to click on the eggs to see them, wouldn't they all be done as clicks then?

That's the part I'm trying to reconcile.

OCBW has unique views defined correctly, I'm almost positive of that. Same with clicks - it occurs when the egg is clicked on (as in your signature) and viewed directly, instead of viewing it from your scroll.
But do you guys have access to my scroll? That's the part that seems to be tripping me up.

Maybe someone clicking your eggs missed a couple.

No, we don't. There is a special link for that if you want to show your whole scroll. It's at the bottom of your scroll. "Show this account" or something like that?

Nope. I can click on your egg more than once, but I believe it only registers as a click once per day. Possibly only as once per IP address.

Right, so if noone has access to my scroll except for myself (which I believe to be the case since I haven't posted it anywhere), then why are so few showing as "clicks." If it helps, Each egg has between 18-21 unique views, and 6-7 clicks (and the 7 is relative to an 18, so it doesn't appear to be simply dividing the unique views by 3).

I see what you're saying, but I would then think that the # of clicks would at least be the same as the number of unique views. That's part of the head scratcher.

I think that when I view one of your posts here with the eggy signature for the first time in a day, that registers as a "unique view". Each subsequent post of yours I view registers as a "view".

Unique views are coming from people looking at your eggs for the first time. Doesn't mean those people are clicking through to read the description.

Right, I understand that perfectly.

Maybe I need to ask this differently...

Why are not all views also registering as clicks, since the only way someone can apparently see them is by clicking on the eggs (which should register as clicks), since noone has access to my scroll?

I don't have to click on the eggs in your signature for it to register as a view. Just looking at one of your posts on BP registers a view for the egg.
