I see hatchlings with lower counts of clicks, views and unique views as my first egg. I guess I'm just confused. Why do some hatch so much faster than others?

It's just random. As long as everything is "normal" with the clicks and views, it just takes a random amount of time. I've found all my eggs grew into full dragons within 10 - 13 days...I think. If the egg takes a long time to hatch, I think it goes from hatchling to adult rather quickly.

Views are accumulated every time someone views your egg/hatchling/adult. Unique Views are obtained in the same way, except only one unique view is given per egg per person. A "click" occurs when someone clicks on your egg in your signature or wherever you place it. As with Unique Views, clicks are only given once per person.

Your clicks, views, unique views, and the amount of time that has passed since the dragon last changed stages are variables in a mathematical function that produces a fictional 'score' for your dragon. An egg's 'score' must reach a certain amount before it will hatch, and a hatchling's 'score' must reach an even higher amount before it will mature.

Hope this helps clear it up a bit.

Apparently, my hatchling, Major Major Major Major, enjoys "gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile."

Sounds like a bean-counter who can't find any beans. What a good boy, he is. I'm one proud papa.

Well now I do, one is afraid of social interaction, the other likes to stack pebbles into piles.

I told his mother I named him Caleb. She'll have quite the shock when she needs his birth certificate to send him to Kinderdragongarten.

Anyone know how long before you can abandon an egg?

Q: How do you abandon an egg/hatchling?
A: If you have had the egg/hatchling for at least one day, click "Actions" on the account page, then "Abandon". Once an egg or hatchling has been abandoned, it cannot be reclaimed. If the egg is stolen you have to wait a day to abandon it, but bred eggs can be abandoned right away.

i can't find eggs anymore, wtf?!

Sometimes it's just lag. Keep refreshing. Top of the hour and for at least 5 min. after.

Q: Why can't I get another egg?
A: You may not be clicking fast enough to get an egg from the entrance. There is also a limit to the number of eggs and hatchlings you can have at any one time, as follows:

When taking an egg:
If you have 4 or more eggs, you cannot take another egg.
If you have 4 or more hatchlings, you cannot take another egg.

When breeding an egg:
If you have 5 or more eggs, you cannot take another egg.
If you have 5 or more hatchlings, you cannot take another egg.

These are the only limits imposed on the number of eggs and hatchlings. Note that this is not an actual limit on hatchlings, but if you have more than the specified number of hatchlings, you will not be able to take an egg.
