thump, you must trust me on this. driving a car like this is unlike anything else you have likely ever driven. my only experience with a car that has over 400 horsepower was with that granturismo, which has around 450 horses. if you have the steering wheel turned just a little bit and apply a little too much pressure to the gas pedal, you can definitely get into trouble.Thump;796106; said:You gave the example that he was driving at a raceway inferring he was circling the oval or something when really they just had some orange cones set up that he was maneuvering through.

nonetheless, i think it's rather cool that an enzo was wreck and everyone is like, "ehh... okay. an enzo was wrecked. life goes on. so be it."
surprise, surprise. thump is blowing something out of proportion.Thump;796115; said:Sorry didn't realize you were a classic car collector. You drove a nice car once and you are now an expert.

yeah... which is why they set up a remedial track for him.Griffin had been driving these cars already for his movie Redline.

yeah, it really sucks that an actor who makes more in a year than you'll make in a couple lifetimes wrecked a 1-of-400 car that wasn't even his own. meanwhile, the owner is like, "ehh... it's life." yeah, that dude's a tool. the joke's on him! weeeeeee!Thump;796122; said:I just think it's funny that a no-talent hack like Eddie Griffin wrecked a car that's worth more than his life.

Yeah i noticed that too, what the hell? i mean, when you heard the tires screech you think you would at least turn your head..BB73;796223; said:I'm impressed by the guy standing behind the barrier - he barely flinched.

obviously, you have no experience. i'm not ashamed to have only one experience driving a car with at least 400 horses. i'm young enough for more experiences. i've driven a handful of cars in the 300 range but only once in a car with that amount of power.buckeyefool;796245; said:It is to bad that your only experience has been that short drive. because if you had an experience driving cars like this you would know that it really isn't hard at all. You just need to know what you are doing.
there's the rub. remember, there is a good reason why cars with that much power have driving schools. You just need to know what you are doing.

buckeyefool;796255; said:Why would you assume I have no experience driving a car like that? Like I said it is just a matter of knowing what you are doing and being able to handle the power. Not like it is flying a plain or anything. Sure they have schools, but not like it is required to buy the car, so that negates that little problem. Really it is to bad you haven't driven more than 300 feet or what ever it was, then you would be able to realize how ridiculous your statement is.
again, you miss the point of my initial statement. it is this "matter of knowing what you are doing and being able to handle the power" that is the learning curve. and there is a learning curve. most drivers must learn how to drive a car that goes from 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds. you simply don't gas the car like you can with most other cars. trust me.buckeyefool;796255; said:Like I said it is just a matter of knowing what you are doing and being able to handle the power.
this is precisely the reason why i think you have no experience.Really it is to bad you haven't driven more than 300 feet or what ever it was, then you would be able to realize how ridiculous your statement is.
