East Region vBet and Discussion

Good game, but I feel like either team would have to play quite a bit better to beat the Buckeyes.
i think the whole key for osu versus wvu would be defensive rebounding. the mountaineers' offensive efficiency is almost solely due to their rebounding. they are in the bottom quartile in turning over the ball, they are slightly below the median in 3-point shooting percentage, and they are slightly below the median in 2-point shooting percentage. those three stats belie wvu's adjusted offensive efficiency* (93rd percentile), which would not be achieved without being the high-major's third-best offensive rebounding team.

* yes, in comparison to all of the division one teams, wvu's adjusted offensive efficiency is high. in comparison to the tournament field, though, 18 teams are better. lies, damned lies, and statistics.

what i would give to see sully put his big ol' butt on henson. that poor boy needs a sandwich.

this should be a good game. uw matches unc's athleticism and size.

So your saying that poor boy needs a "po' boy"? Ahhh, I make me laugh.

Anyways, Washington is hanging tough in this game against UNC, knocking down some solid three pointers.

23-15 UDub leads

I can't believe Washington is a 7 seed in our region. They're every bit as good as some of the 3 and 4 seeds in this tourney. And maybe as good as Carolina from the looks of it so far.
Yeah, I was rooting for the upset in order to the Bucks to possibly avoid UNC, but now I'm starting to think Washington is every bit as scary in their own right.

Tough tough road ahead.

UNC looked like they were making every shot they took in the first eight minutes, but were turning it over a lot and that kept Washington pretty even. Now the shots are falling at the other end instead, and Washington has built themselves a nice lead for now.

washington is such a good matchup for unc. unfortunately for unc, the huskies may be the best matchup for unc in the whole darn tournament.

unc is not good at all at shooting the 3. uw has length and runs a zone.

unc loves to run. uw has no problem keeping up or even pushing past unc.

unc dominates so many opponents due to their length and athleticism. uw is at least as athletic and just a little shorter.

unc is very inexperienced. uw outclasses them.
