I'll run the risk of a jinx and start a discussion on the 3rd round (used to be 2nd) opponent.

George Mason vs Villanova.

GM: Ken Pom #25 Big wins OOC (for lack of a better term) Harvard.
-Games against Big 6 teams 0-1 lost to NC State by 13. Also lost to Dayton by 6 at Dayton.
-Lost in 2nd round of Colonial Athletic Association Tourney
-Yahoo capsule on them

I haven't seen 1 second of them play but it seems like they might be getting more Cinderella love than they should from their run a few years back.

Villanova: Ken Pom #28
-Big 6 OOC games, beat UCLA by 12, lost to Tennessee by 10
-9 and 9 in Big east play
-Lost 4 in a row and 6 of last 8 in regular season
-Lost 1st round of BE tourney to South Florida

Tough to back a team on that kind of skid heading into the tourney. I'll call an upset here and go with George Mason.

Anyone seen enough of either one to add anything?

I'll say that every single time I watched Villanova and/or laid money on them, they looked bad/screwed me over. Took about 3 or 4 times to stay away, and they continued to suck, just didn't bring me down with them.

Go Patriots!

I'm actually the reverse of you, I watched a few 'Nova games and thought they looked like a team that could cause some issues for teams in the Tourney. I have them picked right now, and they could definitely give us a few fits if they do beat GM.

Probably not what you were looking for, but figured I would add my $.02 since I've watched a few 'Nova games.

I saw Mason in their bracket buster game at Northern Iowa and Mason pretty much dominated them. Just didn't see much of them, but they won 16 games in a row during January and into early March. I think they're better now than they were early in the year when they lost to NC State and Dayton.

Villanova lost 10 of their last 15 games. Their five wins during that time included squeakers over Seton Hall and DePaul. They lost to South Florida in the BE tourney. They started well but have looked lost in recent weeks.
