Ohio State's Pittman, Ginn entering NFL draft

AKRON, Ohio (AP) - Ohio State running back Antonio Pittman announced Monday he will forego his senior season to enter the NFL draft in April.

While wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. hadn't made his intentions official, his father, Ted Ginn Sr., told The Plain Dealer that Ohio State's game-breaking kick returner will also skip his final season.

Ted Ginn Jr. and Adrian Peterson both sprinted to touchdowns the last time they touched the ball in college. Next up, they hope to score big in the NFL.
Ginn, Ohio State's game-breaking receiver and return man, and Peterson, Oklahoma's fleet running back, will pass up their senior seasons to enter the NFL draft. Monday was the deadline for underclassmen to declare their intentions.

After being told by an NFL panel that he likely would be a first-round draft pick, Ohio State receiver Ted Ginn Jr. decided not to put himself at risk of injury by coming back for one more year with little chance of improving his status.

Wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. and tailback Antonio Pittman announced Monday they will forgo their senior seasons at Ohio State and enter the NFL draft, joining fellow junior Anthony Gonzalez, who declared last week.
It's the second straight season OSU will lose three junior starters to the NFL.

Ted Ginn Jr. issued a statement. Antonio Pittman put on a tearful news conference at his old high school that seemed more like a pep rally.
