Point was in reference to OSU_D/'s concerns about someone in a high position watching what they say 24/7. There is not a person on this board, OSU_D/ included, who hasn't said shit that they might not want out there for public consumption...but they said it anyway and will continue to say similar shit.

Meh - if a man says something, he says it. It doesn't matter if there's a camera, a recorder, or just a guy committing what is said to memory. Gee said what he said. So be it.

If you're offended with what he said, grab a tissue and go have yourself a cry. Come back when you realize it's he's just a man and the best revenge is to live well. Getting your panties twisted in a knot is just going to make me laugh at you more.

Edit for clarification - I am not directing this at Mariotwins. I am only pointing out that it shouldn't matter who was there to hear him or record him saying anything. The next paragraph is directed to anyone who actually cares what Gee says about this.

The people defending President Gee argue that he was joking in private and that people need to lighten up about jokes.
I posted a video as a joke. It was supposed to be a joke vs. joke counter argument delivered in true Bigwoof smartass fashion.

I'm very, very, very, very sorry you misinterpreted it and it hurt your very delicate feelings.
Moving forward, when I post something smartass - I'll include a bolded "Mililani" translation.

My issue would be with the fact he makes comments then backtracks and says he's sorry later. If he wants to make the comments more power to him, but stand behind them. His backtracking after the fact makes it look like he agrees he shouldn't have said them in the first place.

Personally I don't think the president of a Big Ten school should make such comments, but if you do.... stand behind them and own them. (I agree with what he said in this case, if it matters).
