I rewatched part of the Miami game and it made me miss sanzo the most. He had a knack for making Pryor look good; coming back to get open, catching any ball he could get his hands on, etc. I hope a dependable, possession type WR develops this year.

There are four things that will kill your passing game:

  1. Poor pass protection
  2. Receivers not getting open
  3. Receivers failing to catch the ball
  4. Quarterback failing to get the ball to open receivers
#1 wasn't a real problem...the OL provided good pass protection for the most part.

#2 wasn't as big a problem as some here think...WRs were getting open against Duh U.

#3 was a problem on several occasions.

#4 Bauserman looked flustered and his accuracy suffered for it, and when he did make a good throw he was hurt by problem #3 above.

We had problems #1 and #2 covered. Fixing #3 shouldn't be a real problem...just catch the fucking ball or you sit. The only way to fix #4 right now, IMO, is to play Miller as much as we can...just hand him the keys and tell him to drive the offense.

Wonder how Nate Ebner's hands are... little swing pass out out there to him... but you'd have to throw it underhand... I bet he'd be a BAMF with the ball...

End Zone: Ohio State
Luke Fickell is still learning this head coach thing. Ohio State's young boss stopped the media in its tracks on Tuesday when asked if he was curious about what the outcome of the blockbuster Wisconsin-Nebraska showdown on Saturday night will be. "I didn't know they were playing," Fickell said about the game with huge Big Ten implications. Either it was a Pinocchio moment, or Fickell is so consumed by the job that he is also unaware of the uprising in Libya, the debt crisis in Greece, or Lady Gaga?s meat dress.

He's just doing his Tress Talk impression...

Pretty much sealed his fate today most likely. Unless he gets the rest of em or very good games vs Nebraska and Bucky in a loss + the win at michigan, he won't keep the job next season. Too bad really because I like Fick and I wish he could have gotten it done but the guys just dont look like they know what they are doing at all on offense and it cost them against two inferior teams and almost cost us our streak vs teams from Ohio.

Doesnt look good for him from here on out. Get The Game coach for sure and all will end well.

He should be allowed to a least play one game with his full squad before any decision is made, don't you think?

No. Not like he's going to get fired either or that anyone has said that.

Its not necessarily about the wins vs the losses. Its how the guys look as a team. If we are losing games because we're young and just get beat you can live with that. Losing games in a manner that Ohio State teams don't lose games is bad. Guys come here to play in big games and they play hard nosed great fundamental football. There are some guys out there really busting their butts but there are some who don't resemble the same thing. Looking lost and not knowing your assignments, thats not what we're used to seeing from OSU football. Some games you line up and the guy in front of you is just better. You lose. You can live with that. When you appear unprepared and not sure what to do, that reflects leadership. If Fick coached like he played this team would look a lot different. It doesnt look that way at the moment and thats unfortunate.

True enough... Someone rewind the clock and get TP back in town.

Seriously though, your point should be well taken. Nonetheless, it is a fairly romantic notion that a young alum should take over a program with zero head coaching experience and keep the train running full speed even though the tracks were pulled from under it.
