Duke Blue Devils (that rat faced scumbag)

They are televising the game and our entire family is disappointed. The officiating is terrible. Clearly, they want Duke to emerge as the tourney champion. We haven't heard the Duke fight song yet (i.e., I kissed a boy and I liked it).

Unlike when they played Belmont last year I think Duke will have a cakewalk in the first round. Belmont had some shooters and had been there before. The Binghamton Bearcats are weak from the perimeter and making their first appearance. Dook will smoke 'em.

DJ Rivera is a good player, and the run an interesting system up in Binghamton. They take on a lot of "at risk" transfers from major programs. Outside of Rivera, I can't think of any guys on their squad, but I know they have some players.

Don't think they'll have enough for Duke, but athletically, I think they're right there. Coach K just takes his guys to another level....

I only saw them once, yesterday, and they didn't impress me at all. I hope they surprise the hell out of me, but I doubt it.

about to curse Duke, but I think they are going to have a good tournament. I think they will make the elite 8, and have a very real shot at making the final 4.

Henderson would be one of my favorite college players if not for playing for Duke. Last year I said he was one of the most underrated players in the country, and this year he is proving it. Just a great all-around game. I can't stand Singler or Scheyer but they both play their roles very well, and Singler causes all sorts of match-up issues, and love or hate him, he plays hard and bigger than his size.

Nolan Smith and Elliot Williams are wildcards, but both athletic defenders. The conspiracy theorist in me, says Coach K sat on Elliot all year to unleash him for the tournament and prevent any early declarations from becoming a possibility.

Everyone knocks Dukes inside presence, but Zoubek can defend. Lance Thomas can also defend and rebound.

And, Duke will get a lot of calls I'm sure. It just happens.

I like Duke's chances. I'm saying elite 8 or better. A first round loss would be amazing even with me taking them to the elite 8. A sacrifice I'd gladly make :)

I know... every time I was doing my bracket I couldn't help but have Duke going far. Something in the back of my head thinking that Duke is due for a long run to remind us why we hate them so much.

I have a feeling they'll lose to Texas in the second round.

I don't like Texas's ball handlers against that pressure Defense. Scotty Reynolds at Nova wil break it without much trouble, but Texas doesn't have great handling guards. That will be a lot to overcome. Don'tget me wrong, A.J. Abrams is a hell of a shooter, but the way Duke overplays passing lanes, and doesn't give any space, makes it really difficult to get into an offense.

Same reason I think Louisville will run us off of the court if we get past Siena. A PG that split the defense and alleviate pressure is such a necessity in college bball.

I drool at the thought of Conley, Turner, and Cook all on the court together.

sorry to keep posting, but 95 seconds in Binghamton has 4 fouls, 3 of which are terrible calls.

And a palming violation to boot on the offensive end.

*I'll just edit....4 of 5 fouls in the first 2:30 have been bad calls. Seriously, every single Binghamton player has a foul on them in the first 2:30 of the game.
