Ducks vs Red Wings 2nd Round

Wow Mike you give up so easily. They are one bull**** call from overtime and possibly ending up leading this series 2-1.

It's 2004 all over again.

This is EXACTLY what Calgary did to them as well as Edmonton for that matter.

The Wings can dominate all they want, but as long as they are content to take 40 foot wrist shots from the boards they won't beat an AHL team much less a hot goalie on an NHL playoff team.

I think the wings dominated the last period and a half. They will be back for the next game ready to tie it up.

they have no heart.

If they win it, it'll be on talent alone.

Did you see that after the game? The Wings got pushed around like they just didn't care anymore.

Usually pro teams aren't susceptible to such things but when college teams have that kind of body language they are going to get massacred in their next game.

I'm not worried Mike they will come out angry because they won't let that call die.

That makes one of us.

I guess I don't know how they didn't come out motivated after losing that 3 OT game the way they did. I don't see any reason why they'll not be gutless in the next game but there's always hope.

Fortunately for you guys, they have a team that could beat an All-Star team on some nights...

true, unless the goalie is hot. 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007 say hi on the way by

Agreed. If they don't come out strong on Thursday, it's over. I don't understand why other people think we can win it on talent alone - if that were the case we wouldn't have lost the OT game.

all detroit has to do he keep putting the pucks on net. all 3 games i feel they have been out played in the 1st period. they need to come out and put pressure hiller on the get go!! hiller is good but when there's traffic in front of him he's giving up goals. sorry for this but i feel that dats and hossa line needs to be shuffled up, it's not working!!! rafalski and drapes need to ditch their skirts and start playing hockey!! yeah they are hurt but who in the playoffs doesn't play through pain??? osgood has be good for us but he really needs to steal at least one for this to be a series!!

I'm not a Red Wings fan, but that 'no goal' with a little over a minute left was pure BS. The ref made a mistake - that happens when they don't see the puck - but the puck was clearly knocked in before the whistle was blown.

The NHL needs to change that to allow replay to check whether the puck crossed the line before the whistle blows. The announcers made some comment about the ref making the decision to blow the whistle before it was knocked over the line, so it's not reviewable, but that's BS.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Such a shame.

i can't fault the refs!!! they did what they are told to do!! if the wings were playing a full 60 mins the call wouldn't not of mattered!! the only calls i have a problem with is the crashing the nets. the last anaheim goal was BS!! if that was holmstrom you know there would of been some kind of call!! it's playoff hockey and the calls are not always going to be perfect!!
