Ducks vs Red Wings 2nd Round

Have the Ducks ever played without a goalie? This is the worst attempt inside a minute that I've ever seen.

I don't know, that was pretty bad. Although that was the first time all game Detroit actually kinda looked interested on the defensive side of things.

I'll take it. Obviously I didn't think they'd get it done and I'm absolutely glad to be wrong.

Now I have to wonder if they'll have anything left for Chicago.

I didn't get to watch the game....but that doesn't matter. According to this thread Detroit was getting screwed non-stop, but because they're that good they beat the Ducks + Refs. Sometimes the Ducks looked good, but that's only because Detroit sometimes doesn't play to their full potential. That doesn't matter either, though....because Detroit at their shittiest is still better than anybody else.

Pronger got away with a couple things, but aside from that I don't think the officiating was that bad.. I think power plays were even (both teams with 5 penalties).

Basically they got a powerplay they shouldn't of on a crosscheck from Pronger that put Hudler through the goalie and they got a somewhat lucky goal when a wings pass hit a stick laying on the ice for a quick turnover. Other than that it was a pretty good game with the wings dominating the puck for most of the 1st and 3rd.

Let him be negative they respond well to negativity.

I watched it and I'm not a Wings fan.

The penalty on the hit to Selanne was legit, because the puck was away from him when the hit was initiated - it happened to come back behind him as he went down. But it was a slow whistle which made the call look bad.

The PP goal by Anaheim that cut the lead to 3-2 was pure BS - Pronger shoved Hudler hard from behind, and Hudler slid into Hiller on his knees - they called interference, and it was comical.

The tying goal was a bit of luck, they scored after the puck hit a loose stick near the boards - but if Detroit had been a little tougher, that puck would have already been cleared.

The game-winner was after some good work by Zetterberg, who then put the puck into the crease so Cleary could jam it in. Hiller complained about his pads being hit, and they looked at it, but it was a legit goal off of good work by the Wings. They deserved to win the game, and when it was tied 3-3 the Ducks were very fortunate to have a tie score.

It should be a good series between two Original Six teams. vBet coming soon.

 Why are you so negative? It's Detroit. Of course they'll have something left. I expect them to win, personally.

Other than the call at the end of game 3 that was really more of a quick whistle than a bad call than anything else, The reffing in this series wasn't any more good or bad than most of the NHL series this year.

I'm a pretty tough critic of the refs but other than the loose puck there really wasn't much to point out from my end.

which is to say it fits in the realm of the good, the bad, the ugly, all in one...

tend to agree a few missed calls each way. a couple of ehs, a couple of misses but nothing terrible biased imo. then again i was multi tasking during the game...
