DT Luke Fickell (HC Wisconsin Badgers)

I would tread lightly here guys.

All, I'm gonna say is the Mods are fans too, and they are also not in the best mood after this sort of game.

He should be allowed to a least play one game with his full squad before any decision is made, don't you think?

No...

This team has not really been prepared all year and has no identity whatsoever! To me, it looks like Fick is lost on the sideline and Bollman is making all personnel decisions.

For once, you and I agree.

The only problem is he won't have his full squad this year. But he will have to play with the hand he is dealt.

The evaluation process thankfully isn't in the hands of anyone on the internet. Good thing too - else he wouldn't be allowed to live in Columbus by the way certain cretins are acting right now.

Everyone needs to sit back and take a deep breath (and clean up the dog if you shotgunned them by Mr. Katt did)....

Fickell needs this game today. If he can beat coach Dantonio I think it'll give him some serious mojo.

After today's game it is obvious his mojo is still lost.

If you find his mojo call 1-800-342-5033

that's 1-800-FICKELL

True enough... Someone rewind the clock and get TP back in town.

Seriously though, your point should be well taken. Nonetheless, it is a fairly romantic notion that a young alum should take over a program with zero head coaching experience and keep the train running full speed even though the tracks were pulled from under it.

Exactly. Its not really fair he has to take over the reigns like this. You would have like him to get a couple more years with Tressel and gain the experience he needed to run an entire program but it didnt work out that way. He'll end up being a very good coach but I do not think the alumni and fanbase for tOSU will be forgiving enough to keep him if things dont do a dramatic 180. Thats just how passionate we are about the Buckeyes and its probably not hurting anyone more than these weeks are hurting Fick.

To have your dream in your hands and have it turn nightmarish....... :(

Agree. I think most, myself included, just didn't realize how much OSU lost and the lack of experience at key coaching and playing positions. Fickell was a very good assistant at OSU, but he may just need a few years under his belt at a smaller program where he can lose and make mistakes and not be destroyed by fans or the media. People's expectations just did not come close to reality.

It's frustrating watching this season, but it just has to be expected now. I'm really just hoping for a 7 win season and the chance at a brighter 2012.
