DT Kayden McDonald (Official Thread)

Truly hope that Coach J rolls his players more. Not entirely certain that one rolls the entire line at once, a la hockey, but some substitutions might keep some of the hard-chargers fresher. a 16-17 game schedule has gotta wear more heavily on the players (duh), so LJ should be cognizant of players needing a blow. Anyway, tis clear that tOSU is losing at least the starting DL after this year, so keeping these 2's (and 3's) involved and focused has got to be a key to the DL coaching this year. The DL recruiting the last two years has been sparse, albeit there are a couple gems there, so what's in the stable becomes more important. Maybe we contributors should be allocated some of the coaches money, as we can come up with this great plans.....Go Bucks!

“He’s a nose guard and he’s powerful,” Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson said. “We would like to see him continue to bring his weight down, but he’s a big man. He’s very strong and he can handle the center really well. And he gives the ideal nose guard. That’s what we’re looking for. That explosive guy, big guy in the middle.”

Seems like the perfect guy to give Tyleik a breather this season. Always thought that would be the case for this season, but what LJ Sr said reinforces that belief. From the picture his weight looks good to me for a big nose tackle but I'm not going to act like I know better than LJ Sr and the staff.
