DT Johnathan "Big Hank" Hankins (Seattle Seahawks)

The Bucks have been on Big Hank since day one. This makes me feel good (If Heacock's happy I'm happy). I think Cam slides inside next year. Also D. Baldwin may outgrow the DE position and slide inside. Floyd is icing but this is a great get.

Actually, with Gibson leaving early, I expect to see play more DE. We don't want to start the next season with two fresh starters at DE, even though Williams has seen significant playing time.

My guess:
DE - CAM, Williams
DT - DEX, Simon

Two deep:
DE - Thomas, and either Wells or Fellows
DT - Goebel, Hankins or Floyd if he signs

Awesome! Great news to come home to...with weight and grades (presumably) in order, I expect Hankins to move up in the rankings. He has always been a top 100 player in my book if those two categories were taken care of. Pending senior film, I think he is a RS player that will have tremendous potential that will start surfacing end of year 2 or beginning of year 3. Huge get and at a position of need. :osu:

Defensive tackle picks OSU
Wednesday, January 6, 2010 2:58 AM

Johnathan Hankins said all along he was leaning toward Ohio State. Yesterday the massive defensive tackle from Detroit (Southeastern) fell the Buckeyes' way, becoming the 16th commitment to the 2010 recruiting class. It might be considered a slight victory over Michigan and Florida, among the other schools that had offered him, but Hankins had been waiting for a while to commit to OSU.

"I like the coaches, and the players down there, and the feel of the campus," Hankins said. "Another key thing is it is close to home."

So, next year among our Sophs and Frosh we will have Goebel, Rowell, Bellamy, Fellows, Simon, Newsome, Baldwin, Moore and Hankins with commits in place for the top two DL in Ohio for '11. And Floyd is still out there.

Looking good on the DL.

Swap Rowell with Keith Wells.

And yes, looking real good.
