Sprinkle is also slated for the inside as well, Simon is playing outside now, and Hankins isn't necessarily gone either. You're scenario isn't as straight-forward as you think.

Was Cameron Heyward an inside or outside player?

Johnathan Hankins lined up on the edge at times last season.

In the hybrid defensive front the Buckeyes favor, the distinction between an inside and outside player is blurred to say the least.

It could be that Ohio State is projecting Sprinkle at strong side DE where the distinction is the most in question (due to the Viper/LEO dropping back into coverage and creating a 3-man front).

Oh, and to the topic of this thread- Price, Hill and Munger seem to be classic 1 or 3-technique tackles, which means they could still be considered in a different category from Spinkle if that is the way the coaches are thinking.

Fine. However, my initial post was to say that it is not a straight Goebel/Simon/Hankins out, Munger/Price/Hill in... but that he left off Sprinkle as a DT candidate too, and that Hankins is not a for sure loss to the NFL yet.

Thus, we are bringing in more DT recruits than the number we are losing, which could lead to one being moved to OG - where we need legit talent too, and Price or Munger could provide that.
