DT Dexter Larimore (official thread)

Michigan offers everyone early PT though, I find that hard to believe if they are also looking at him as a DT, theyve signed a lot of recruits at that position over the last couple of years.

...and the proven way to a recruits ear is to talk PT...ask USC. The tOSU approach is admirable in a perfect world, but sometimes kids just want to hear certain things. A perceived "guarantee" is more appealing than a promise to get a look"

Sad but true. All anyone can ask for, and expect, is the opportunity, to earn playing time early in his career and that is all that a recruiter can honestly tell a recruit. Anything else said by a recruiter is simply used car salesman tactics.

The team that is most guilty of this approach this year is Notre Dame. Every kid they recruited has heard this pitch.

Bill Kurelic - 11/13/05

Dexter visited Michigan this weekend, and enjoyed himself. He favored Ohio State prior to the visit, but now claims that the two schools are even. Dexter will visit OSU on December 2nd, and will decide by the end of the year.

If we are still even with his childhood favorite after visiting them, I like our chances. A strong performance on Saturday, coupled with a great visit, could put us over the top.

From BSB...Dexter enjoyed the game. After the game he shook some of the OSU coaches' hands. He will decide after his official visit to Columbus.

This one is in the bag. With how much he liked our line play and atmosphere when he was in columbus, compared to how the Big House was even quieter than normal yesterday, and us getting the last visit....
