DT Cameron Heyward (6x Pro Bowl, 3x All Pro, Pittsburgh Steelers)

"Cameron Heyward had to be helped off the field with a right ankle injury, had ice on his ankle the rest of the scrimmage and was on crutches at the end of the game, but Tressel said he should be fine and the injury isn't serious. Tressel said every injured player is expected back for the Navy game and maybe by the end of practice next week."

This is very good news!!!!!

Buckeyes' Heyward improves; Adams to sit out - Big Ten - ESPN

Ohio State starting defensive end Cameron Heyward is still a bit limited in practice because of an ankle injury, and the junior might not be 100 percent Saturday for the season opener against Navy (ESPN, noon ET). But Heyward appears to making a quick recovery.

"They kept saying let's give him two-thirds of the reps [Monday] and [defensive coordinator] Jim Heacock couldn't get him out of there, so he seemed awfully good," head coach Jim Tressel said Tuesday.

NEAL C. LAURON
DISPATCH

It's not often that someone lists as hobbies "movies, video games, and I love to sleep." Movies and video games, sure, but sleeping?

So that's where we start with junior defensive lineman Cameron Heyward:

Q Have you always loved sleeping?

A Oh, yeah. All my freshman year, you can ask anybody, I was in the dorm asleep all the time. I can sleep through storms; I can sleep through anything.

Q Do you snore?

AYeah. My mom used to say I was a hibernator. I had a sleep study done once, but they said I didn't have sleep apnea, so there's nothing I can do about it.

QHow many hours do you need a night?

AA good eight hours or I'll be cranky. If I get my sleep, I'll have a great day.

QHow much did you sleep last night (Monday)?

AOh, I got a good 10 hours last night.

QWhat's the longest you've ever slept?

AOooh, I slept at my grandmother's house, I slept from like 8 (p.m.) to 8 (a.m.) one night.

QHow many movies do you own?

AI'm up there. I have some here in Ohio and then some in Georgia (he grew up in the Atlanta area). But I have about 400 to 500 movies here.

QSo what are your favorites?

AI love comedies. My favorite movie all time has to be Heavyweights. It's a classic. Ben Stiller does a great job in that. I love Adam Sandler movies. I love scary movies because I just laugh at them. I'll go to movies with my girlfriend, and I'll just laugh.

QHow does she feel about that?

AShe's scared, and it's hilarious to me that she's scared.

QSo what are your go-to video games?

AI'm a big sports guy, but my girlfriend is a big Guitar Hero (fan), and she always kicks my butt.

QDo you have the whole band, or just the guitar?

AJust guitar. She wants me to get the Beatles (new game out this week), but I don't know about all that.

QWhat's your level?

AI'm more of an easy kind of a guy, she's more of a hard, experienced type.

QYou're dating a volleyball player (OSU junior Allie Schwarzwalder). Do you catch many of her games?

AYes, as much as I can, but we usually have conflicts.

Agreed. I can't comment on how well he played his responsibilities, but he was in the backfield on numerous occasions blowing up run plays. :banger:

Rewatching the game. Heyward was a beast all game but do yourself a favor and watch the screen pass by Illinois at the 6:42 mark in the 2nd quarter. Cam heads towards Juice but once the pass is thrown, he hauls ass across the field and tackles the RB Ford from behind. Unbelievable effort and athleticism.

EDIT- Found a vid. It's 4:57 into it.
